"Kevin and his team did an outstanding job making my husband's birthday memorable! Our server was exceptional and handled our somewhat demanding group with ease. I was initially concerned about bringing a large party to the restaurant, but giving them advance notice made the experience truly enjoyable. Everyone had a fantastic time and seemed to love their meals. The menu features classic American bar food, and we particularly enjoyed the tater tots (we tried the cheese and bacon as well as the crab dip varieties). The fish and chips were perfectly fried, and the jalapeño bacon is truly a standout dish!"

Everything was great and they could easily accommodate 14 people. Service was very efficient. It's a great place to take a large group. View menu

Beer was good. Service was not great. Had a private party in the front bar area that seemed to affect service and the food for the rest of the restaurant.

small dinner dish on the table for our use were all dirty. the restaurant was best 25% full and the service was so slow. Actually, we believe that one of the server on service (female) was actually drunk or intoxicated.

The small dinner plates provided for our use were all dirty. The restaurant was only about 25% full, yet the service was exceptionally slow. We even suspected that one of the female servers on duty might have been drunk or intoxicated. View menu

eating was not so good, quite simple and not very tasty. but the service was good and we loved the beer. They have a huge selection of unique beers, so if they are a beer they will love it. I would definitely recommend heavy seas for the beer about eating.

I visited for Mother's Day and was quite disappointed. The food was just regular lunch/brunch menu items, and I had hoped for something a bit more special. Nothing stood out; it felt reminiscent of an Applebee's. The service was also quite lacking. Despite the restaurant being fairly empty, we had difficulty getting drinks. They were in the process of changing distributors, so they didn't have any beer available, which reflects poor management. Based on this experience, I'm unsure if I'll return.

"Highly recommend Sweet Peaz Southern Kitchen! The food is served fresh and hot. We were a party of eight and ordered Fried Whiting with Yams and Mac n Cheese, Chicken and Waffles, Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, Fried Shrimp, French Fries, and Collard Greens. The Sweet Potato Waffles were absolutely delicious! The fried chicken, shrimp, and fish were cooked perfectly and tasted as good as they looked. The seasoning was just right—not too salty, allowing the flavors to shine. The yams and collards were a real treat for the taste buds. And the cornbread? Simply amazing. My only disappointment was that the first taste was free (haha). The Mac n Cheese was decent, but the Chicken Tenders didn’t quite live up to their name; however, they did remake them for us to take home. The space is small and simple, with old-school music that adds to the enjoyable dining experience. They limit dining to one hour to ensure everyone can enjoy the food, which I appreciate—I dislike when people linger for too long when others are waiting. The staff were friendly, making us feel valued and appreciated. Prices are reasonable. One downside was that many items were unavailable, including grits—which was a big letdown since I was looking forward to the famous Shrimp and Grits—as well as butter, potato salad, seafood salad, and tartar sauce. I recommend calling ahead if you’re craving a specific dish. Despite this, it was a great dining choice and lived up to the positive reviews. Overall, we left satisfied and would gladly return. Parking is street parking only, as there’s no dedicated lot."
