"Comfortable place with imaginative, well executed food and well priced drinks. Billy at the Wharf Rat recommended this to us after finding out we were food nerds. We were delighted with the vibe at the bar neighborhood y, friendly, nice wine and beer selection. Had dinner in the dining room with some creative cooking (lovely rabbit sausage) and great execution. Looking forward to our next visit."

The atmosphere was fantastic and the food was quite good. I also loved the artwork on the walls.

Whenever I travel for work, I make it a point to dine at local eateries rather than chain restaurants. I recently visited Henninger's and this place truly embodies the essence of a local establishment.

The great neighborhood bar/restaurant everybody wants in their neighborhood. Good food, good drinks, friendly bar scene. Henninger's has a small dining room, so reservations are recommended, but bar dining is less intimate and more fun. View menu

The veggie curry at this restaurant is absolutely delicious! They were sold out of whole fish, but this was a great second option that I loved. The staff is fun and friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy. I will definitely return if I am in Baltimore again.

Great little place with amazing atmosphere. The wine pairings are excellent and the food menu, though small, has something for most everyone. I cannot overstate how cozy and intimate the dining area feels. My wife and I have anniversary dinner here every year.

Fell in love with this place the second we walked in. Cozy, funky, and a little gritty in all the best ways. Can't wait to go back and try the food. If it is half as good as the Manhattans we had, we'll be happy! Also, basically an art gallery for the true critic... View menu

This restaurant is the top spot in town for dinner, especially when entertaining out-of-town guests who want to experience a taste of Baltimore beyond just the typical crab houses. Their Maryland crab soup, crab cakes, shrimp, and steaks are all absolutely delicious.

Our host was really great. Super friendly and interesting. Food was great, got the crab cake duet which was very good. Definitely recommend the crab cakes if you enjoy smaller, all lump cakes with no filler. Atmosphere is great, reminds me of many East Baltimore mainstays, with wainscoting, red paint, and walls full of photos and paintings.

"Highly recommend Sweet Peaz Southern Kitchen! The food is served fresh and hot. We were a party of eight and ordered Fried Whiting with Yams and Mac n Cheese, Chicken and Waffles, Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, Fried Shrimp, French Fries, and Collard Greens. The Sweet Potato Waffles were absolutely delicious! The fried chicken, shrimp, and fish were cooked perfectly and tasted as good as they looked. The seasoning was just right—not too salty, allowing the flavors to shine. The yams and collards were a real treat for the taste buds. And the cornbread? Simply amazing. My only disappointment was that the first taste was free (haha). The Mac n Cheese was decent, but the Chicken Tenders didn’t quite live up to their name; however, they did remake them for us to take home. The space is small and simple, with old-school music that adds to the enjoyable dining experience. They limit dining to one hour to ensure everyone can enjoy the food, which I appreciate—I dislike when people linger for too long when others are waiting. The staff were friendly, making us feel valued and appreciated. Prices are reasonable. One downside was that many items were unavailable, including grits—which was a big letdown since I was looking forward to the famous Shrimp and Grits—as well as butter, potato salad, seafood salad, and tartar sauce. I recommend calling ahead if you’re craving a specific dish. Despite this, it was a great dining choice and lived up to the positive reviews. Overall, we left satisfied and would gladly return. Parking is street parking only, as there’s no dedicated lot."
