"Am I willing to shell out $20 for a poke bowl at a lively food market in a trendy neighborhood? Absolutely. I'd be happy to do so. However, I expect to be served a decent, if not excellent, poke bowl. Unfortunately, this place really fell short of my expectations. Everyone at my table chuckled when I showed them just how little fish was in my bowl. (A $5 sushi box from H Mart contained six times the protein of the bowl I just paid for.) I also specifically requested no onions. I normally love them, but due to a recent medical condition, I'm unable to eat them right now. And were there onions? You bet there were—plenty, just like the fish! There are so many positive culinary experiences to be had at R. House, but Hilo certainly isn't one of them."

Slapdash poke bowl with unevenly and awkwardly sliced ingredients. I've had better from the Wegmans in Hunt Valley.

Ordered a poke bowl and was super disappointed. The portion was very small compared to other poke bowls I’ve gotten and the rice was bad. It was pretty pricey too :

Disappointed. Ordered 2 Hilo poke bowls and they forgot asparagus, avocado, ikura and furikake on both of our bowls. Barely any salmon or shrimp. Definitely not worth $15.Food: 2/5 View menu

Delicious!!! My sushi burrito fell apart, but they were very thoughtful and provided a fork. The staff were friendly and quick. The food was excellent. I would definitely return. Food: 5/5

This is a review for their spicy tuna roll. It had too much sauce slathered on top, and the fish itself wasn't very flavorful or fresh tasting. Same for the rice. I haven't had their poke bowls, though, so maybe they're better.

OMG Get the Baltimore Tempura Maki Roll. Is it authentically Japanese? Probably not- in fact, it's ginormous, saucy, and tastes like the whole sushi roll was deep fried in tempura batter. But man was it good. I would go back just for that roll. It's in R-House. View menu

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. I wanted a spicier version of a roll, and the young lady offered to make it spicy for me. Naturally, I happily agreed! The food was fresh and absolutely delicious! As for kid-friendliness, they even had a small table and chairs set up for children to sit at.

This poke joint is inside the R. House food court and I generally love the ambiance and environment of this whole place! Cute string lights both indoors and outdoors, and plenty of seating. A fun potential date spot honestly. With regard to the quality of the food super duper fresh! Also loved the flavors of the food and sauces. I'm also picky with how much rice I get (I like a lot), and I was satisfied.Bonus they label which ingredients have gluten. Amen!!! Can't wait to return!

"Highly recommend Sweet Peaz Southern Kitchen! The food is served fresh and hot. We were a party of eight and ordered Fried Whiting with Yams and Mac n Cheese, Chicken and Waffles, Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, Fried Shrimp, French Fries, and Collard Greens. The Sweet Potato Waffles were absolutely delicious! The fried chicken, shrimp, and fish were cooked perfectly and tasted as good as they looked. The seasoning was just right—not too salty, allowing the flavors to shine. The yams and collards were a real treat for the taste buds. And the cornbread? Simply amazing. My only disappointment was that the first taste was free (haha). The Mac n Cheese was decent, but the Chicken Tenders didn’t quite live up to their name; however, they did remake them for us to take home. The space is small and simple, with old-school music that adds to the enjoyable dining experience. They limit dining to one hour to ensure everyone can enjoy the food, which I appreciate—I dislike when people linger for too long when others are waiting. The staff were friendly, making us feel valued and appreciated. Prices are reasonable. One downside was that many items were unavailable, including grits—which was a big letdown since I was looking forward to the famous Shrimp and Grits—as well as butter, potato salad, seafood salad, and tartar sauce. I recommend calling ahead if you’re craving a specific dish. Despite this, it was a great dining choice and lived up to the positive reviews. Overall, we left satisfied and would gladly return. Parking is street parking only, as there’s no dedicated lot."
