"Chef Donna Hammond, well-known and adored from Cornwall to California (formerly the Executive Chef at Painter's, when it was at its best, and at Chez Panisse in Berkeley), will be opening the Hudson Street Cafe in Cornwall on Hudson in early June 2009. Donna and her partner Will Waterfield will serve breakfast and lunch seven days a week, with dinner coming soon. I particularly enjoy the green eggs and ham and the breakfast nachos. Donna's bread pudding and crab cakes are making a comeback! The focus is on local, natural ingredients and quality food..."

This restaurant serves breakfast and lunch from 5 AM to 3 PM, offering some of the freshest breakfast you'll find from NYC to New Paltz. They have classic and lighter dishes that are never greasy (looking at you, Fiddlestix). If you can, grab a seat at the counter to watch Donna cook her eggs to perfection every time. They also provide vegetarian and vegan options. The waitstaff is friendly and helpful.

"Since traffic was alarming, we couldn 't make our usual spot for lunch. So, instead we tried Citrus Restaurant. As we saw that they reinstated a lunch buffet on Sundays- we asked: why not? However, as we entered, there was no acknowledgement. The staffwere highly unattentive. During lunch, we noticed that the wait staff did not visit tables to check on water. Yet, after we madea point that drinks needed to be refilled, then they would check on other guests. Overall, they weren 't as welcoming as theycould be. As for the food, the flavors were off. The chili chicken tasted like general tso 's. There were also texturalelements that were off beat. The lamb was chewy and the gulab jamun was stodgy. Overall, the curries had a single note offlavor- all about a 7 on heat but no definition. Ultimately, after the poor service, I wouldn 't return. Additionally, the foodwas not as up to par with my favorite restaurant. Sorry, but my expectations for flavor have been raised high."

"We parked behind the building and were seated immediately to a very cozy nook inside. The chatter was not too loud at all. They had a very straightforward menu. The staff were so quick and quiet to top off waters. I ordered the duck special and it was delicious and the details were well thought out, so delicious. Did not feel rushed at all. We will be coming back! Service: Dine in"

"Service: We dined in for lunch, and the price per person was around $20–30. Food: I’d rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5, especially the tacos with steak and chorizo, which I highly recommend. Service: The service also deserves a 5 out of 5 for being attentive and friendly. Atmosphere: The atmosphere was equally impressive, earning another 5 out of 5. Overall, it’s a place I'd definitely recommend!"

"I had the carnitas chipotle burrito along with some curly fries. The service was excellent, and the establishment appears to be well-managed. Most of the food was very enjoyable, but the tortilla wrap for the burrito was reminiscent of tissue paper and fell apart almost right away. The carnitas themselves were lacking in flavor. The guacamole tasted a bit off, as it seemed to be processed from a bag rather than made fresh. However, the curly fries, chipotle sauce, black beans, pico de gallo, fresh cilantro, and hot peppers were all delicious. I would definitely consider returning, although the parking situation could use some improvement."

"A sports bar pretending to be a tavern. The staff was great and very friendly. Rowdy Crowd on a Sunday evening that drowned any similarity of an atmosphere. It is regrettable that a local company cannot sell local beers on tap, especially with so many in the region to work with. Great brand name only domestic decisions. Cauliflower wings were prefabricated and frozen. Seafood special was okay. Shrimps, mussels and crab legs were good, the lobster was far from fresh and tasted like nothing. To round it off, combed potatoes were the supplement. No good eating experience."
