I've never been to the store, but I enjoyed their sugar cookies at the Katy Trail 5k after party last night. Delicious!!!

My son asked for a half white chocolate macadamia nut half chocolate chip cookie cake with a xenomorph on it...I cannot believe I actually found a bakery that would take it on. I only paid $15 extra dollars for my custom design. I would have paid a lot more to make my kid make this face. Honestly some of the best cookies I’ve ever tried (try cookies in every city I travel for work). Julie’s recipe for oatmeal chocolate chip and sugar cookies are amazing. Never thought they could get any better until they started topping cookies with icing. Can’t say enough great things about the taste. Also a box of 1 2 dozen cookies is easily the best sales tactic for anyone in business dev. I’ve sold countless deals where I’m 99% sure bringing JDs cookies to clients is what sealed the relationship.

I called three hours before my arrival to inquire if I needed to place an order online. I was told, "Not at all, you can just come in and get cookies." I specifically asked if this applied even if I wanted a couple dozen, and I was assured it would be fine. However, when I arrived hoping to purchase around three dozen cookies, they refused to sell them to me because other customers came in after me. I arrived first, and yet they turned me away, leaving me short two dozen cookies for my cardiology office. The management was poor, and the staff was not friendly. The woman I spoke to snapped at me, saying, "I can’t sell all those to you!" Really? I am a paying customer. I didn’t even get to try...

Now, onto the cookies—they were outstanding! They had a crunchy exterior and a soft, chewy interior. I sampled the semisweet, white chocolate (which is rare and without macadamia nuts), gingerbread, oatmeal raisin, and milk chocolate. All of them were excellent, even though I usually don’t enjoy gingerbread! Based on my first impressions, I’d rank them as follows: oatmeal raisin > milk chocolate > gingerbread > white chocolate > semisweet. It’s surprising that oatmeal raisin took the top spot! My wife preferred the gingerbread the most. The price was about $14+ for a dozen, which is a bit steep, but definitely worth treating yourself now and then.
