"If you have not had Johnny Pizza, you are missing out on some good food. I used to live in the neighborhood when Johhny's dad was running the store, it was the best pizza then and now. John and his family knows everyone from the neighborhood, it is truly a local gem. I grew up watching John and Rocco making pizza in their teens...they know how to do it! Thanks for keeping the place like I remember it in my youth."

Stuffed Shells with Meatballs are terrible. Shells hard hard, the cheese tastes bad grainy. Never again

Ravioli was underwhelming but pizza was good. They gave me the wrong soda because theres no way to select what you want.

Best Pizza in NYC, the best Squares anywhere. I was raised on this amazing pizza. Every year I go visit my brother in Florida, and take him 2 pies. My nieces look at me like you swear I brought them liquid Gold/drugs. #1 View menu

I've been eating Johnny's pizza since I was seven years old, I'm 48 now and I'm still coming back even from the Atlantic City area, much love for that pizzeria in my old neighborhood-truly the best and most honest pie in Brooklyn

Excellent pizza great food. I've been a customer since moving to Sunset Park in 1993. There are scores of top pizza places in New York, but Johhny's is one of the best. Don't even waste your money, and in some cases TIME, on any other place if what you want is reliably great pizza.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
