"Josie Kelly’s may not be the most famous (or infamous) NJ Irish pub, but in my opinion it’s the best, by a Cork County mile. It’s quite large so you never feel crammed here, and with four dining areas, a large live music room and plenty of free parking the stage is set for greatness. Then there’s the food and drinks. Nothing here is just thrown together or simply rehashed from a corner bar menu. And most of the menu is gluten free so that anyone with a gluten intolerance can eat here safely. This is Irish pub food done by a chef — not a cook. There’s a nice wine selection, thoughtful and delicious cocktails, and a strong roster of craft beers, incl many local choices. I might suggest the Alibi 75 cocktail, made with that namesake’s gin, or the peanut butter cup for dessert. As to the food? Think upscale twists to a traditional pub menu and you’re right on target. The burgers and sandwiches are what we’ve had mostly, and all are excellent. For the Turkey sandwich, it would be so easy to just slap some reheated Turkey slices onto some bread, add bacon and avocado and call it a day. But no, the Turkey here is super tender and flavorful — as if your granny just popped the bird from the oven.Even the gluten free sandwich bread and buns are delicious not the usual dry crumbly stuff). If you find yourself in south Jersey, between AC and Ocean city, make a detour into Josie Kelly’s. You will be so glad you did."

Love this place! Great food, drinks and atmosphere! Traditional Irish dishes, extensive beer selection, friendly staff and live music.

The build your own bloody mary was so much fun! I was shocked that the grilled cheese would be a whole sandwich. I liked the variety of things that you could order for brunch. My only complaint is that the eggs were very overcooked on the eggs Benedictand the omelette.

Next day came to the bar can't say enough about the excellent and attentive bartenders! Then visited again for a delicious breakfast the following morning. View menu

This was a lovely place! The food was chef's kiss and they have a fun cocktail menu. This is definitely a great place to go. We went on a Wednesday evening and there was live music. This is a very big place and apparently they get very busy! Go here onyour next night out! Pictured: Shepherd's pie, Cobb salad, potato leek soup, lavender cocktail and baked salmon. It wasbeautifully prepared!

We had the most wonderful evening in Josie Kelly's! We were a party of 5 and were seated immediately. Our server, Michelle gave us perfect service and the food was so delicious! My family enjoys traditional Irish dishes washed down with Guinness! The oysters were very fresh too! Kathleen and Dermot have brought us a unique and excellent dining experience in Somers Point! I highly recommend that you try it! View menu

This was a quick visit on the way to a function. My daughter treated me to a Birthday Martini and delicious Chowder. We have also been there for Brunch with Irish Specialties. The food is outstanding. The Decor is varied depending on the room, however, all is comfy, cozy, a place where you can find locals and visitors. Outdoor eating is a fun experience which we alsodid during the pandemic. Excellent Live Music .....Irish groups, Motown, a variety of entertainment!

From the moment I walked in, to the last bite of Shepard?s Pie and final sip of their own beer, everything was perfect. Brent was a great waiter and even though I was a one-top and he was double sat with me (my fault showing up right around shift change:P he was attentive, kind and patient. I appreciated the explanation of the menu and the recommendations for the crab and cornchowder as well as their in house draft. I like going places with low expectations and an open mind and this particularrestaurant went well and above anything I could have expected; even if I went in expecting 10 star service. Props to themanagement and other staff for not giving the bartender flak when he accidentally...
