"This is an odd neighbourhood bar. It's a pub by day but seems to turn into a neighbourhood blue collar bar club for young people at night. Thursday night they had security that scans your ID. It's reasonably big inside with a stage, a couple pool tables, a shuffleboard table and a corner for playing the slot machines. A good number of TV screens. Well lit with plain decor and a raised central area. Retirees were playing the slots and young folk were drinking at the bar counter. Pints were reasonable. Tried the pizza and it was good but not real pepperoni. A pub that scans your ID and takes your picture means they can get a rough crowd and was a little put off for a middle aged guy like me.... So I would avoid evenings on weekends."

We ordered a pepperoni pizza, and it was excellent. The crispy crust paired with the rich and delicious sauce makes it the perfect choice.

Decent pub food, decent service. I wouldn't expect anything too fabulous here. It's dark and gloomy. Well maintained though. TLC does go into the food. It's clean and has pool tables and other games. Their red eye special on Saturday morning is a steal.

The karaoke host was disrespectful and interrupted singers to play music and take smoke breaks. The bouncer was also quite rude, telling everyone to leave. Justin, the bartender, was the only pleasant staff member there. I won't be returning until they hire a new karaoke host.

Been in that bar for number of years. Tonight 's pizza order was appalling. Like cardboard, dry, and tasteless. I usually order the same choice so I know what was normal and this sure as heck wasn 't. Always a laugh when the publicity refers to the fine dining available. What a joke today. View menu

If you want a special atmosphere for that important date, this is the place to go. Fine dining meets trendy sophistication in food, location and service. They use locally sourced ingredients not just for the food but drinks too. There are some inspiring choices in the cuisine and cocktails alike.

I was looking for a bar in sw Edmonton to take a date...looked at this place on yelp...but although it reads nicely, there don't seem to be any photos!? People want to see what kind of pub they're going to and get a feel for the ambiance. When I see some pics, I'm sure I'll go, but not until then.

JT's has upped their game again. Totally renovated during covid, and the menu under chef Stephen (Newfie) is fabulous. He has0 added a feature entree every day as well as the soup and sandwich special. But there are also mussels. Very popular Done in white wine, garlic, and of all things, chopped red pepper. Delicious. View menu

I ordered JT's Ultimate Burger, which comes with ham, bacon, cheese, lettuce, and tomato, along with a choice of side—options include soup, salad, beer-battered fries, or onion rings—for $17. The burger was excellent, featuring a nice char on the patty. I also tried the fish and chips, which were generously portioned with a wonderfully crispy batter. You can pick one of the sides mentioned earlier, and the garden salad that accompanied the meal was fresh and crisp. Overall, everything was fantastic! The fish and chips cost $18.

What really bothered me was the suggested tip printed on our receipts. I felt I should be able to decide my own tip based on the service I received, but the waiter insisted that I had to follow the suggested amount. I firmly told him I would tip what I felt was appropriate, as I was not impressed with the service at all. One particularly egregious example was when a friend's daughter saved up money to treat her family to her dad's birthday dinner—only to find a suggested tip of $54 on the check, which felt completely outrageous. This kind of practice is unacceptable, and I won’t be returning, largely because of this issue. Additionally, considering what I paid for my meal, the portion sizes...

"Food quality Service Ambiance Value Menu selection Location/Accessibility Overall experience Date visited: 11/11/2023 During a weekend excursion to the vibrant city of Columbus, I seized the opportunity to indulge my palate in the diverse and rich flavors of Indian cuisine at Aab India Restaurant. Accompanied by my dining companion, KK, our culinary escapade unfolded with the promise of an extraordinary dining experience. Arriving just before noon, we found the exterior of Aab India unassuming, a subtle facade that betrayed little of the culinary marvels concealed within. The challenge of parking, however, proved a minor detour on our quest for gastronomic bliss. Having secured a spot in the Big Lot parking lot down the street, we waited outside, eagerly anticipating the moment when the doors would swing open to reveal the warmth and aromatic allure that awaited us. As the clock struck 12, the portal to this culinary haven opened, and we eagerly sought refuge from the brisk autumn air. A gracious staff member ushered us to a neatly arranged table, allowing my companion to peruse the menu while I immersed myself in the restaurant's ambiance. The interior unfolded with systematic organization—tables optimized for space, a bar counter adorned with a curated collection hinting at a storied history, and at the far end, a buffet counter laden with an enticing array of Indian culinary treasures. The decor, an elegant fusion of warmth and antiquity, transported diners to a bygone era. With its antique-inspired ceiling, floor, and furnishings, Aab India exuded an authenticity that promised an immersive dining experience. The warm color palette and tantalizing aroma further heightened the anticipation, especially as I imagined the ambiance taking on a magical allure as daylight gave way to night. Choosing the all-you-can-eat buffet, we joined a queue that mirrored our eagerness to explore the Indian culinary landscape. Labels adorned each tray, providing glimpses into the myriad dishes that awaited us. My plate became a canvas for a symphony of flavors—a scoop of herbal basmati rice, curry that was a departure from the familiar Chicken Tikka Masala, naan bread, fresh vegetables, and a dessert whose uniqueness intrigued my senses. Returning to our table, the first bites were revelations. The curry, a choreography of spices, danced on my palate, and the naan bread, while exemplary on its own, ascended to sublime heights when dipped in the curry. KK, fully immersed in the experience, relished basmati rice, Chicken Tikka, and an assortment of vegetables with evident delight. In the midst of our culinary reverie, an attentive waitress graced our table, ensuring our glasses remained filled. A managerial or culinary presence, keen on enhancing our experience, paid a gracious visit, adding a personal touch to our culinary journey. Our senses satiated and the ambiance savored, we lingered a while before bidding adieu to the burgeoning crowd. Overwhelmed by the newfound popularity, we settled the bill, generously tipping for the delightful fare and attentive service—a mere $16 per person, a paltry sum for the culinary symphony we had indulged in. Overall, Aab India Restaurant emerges as an unparalleled gem in the culinary scene of Columbus. A haven for those seeking not just a meal but a gastronomic journey, it stands as a testament to the alluring wonders of Indian cuisine. As I departed, the promise echoed—an assurance that whenever Columbus beckons, Aab India will be my chosen sanctuary for an encore of extraordinary flavors and warm hospitality."
