"I celebrated my birthday at this restaurant before the pandemic and had a wonderful time, so I was excited to go back. However, my recent experience left me disappointed. The cemita I ordered was bland and mostly tasted like lettuce. It was served on a small appetizer plate, which I found strange. I had to request napkins and salsa verde, and when they arrived, I was given only two napkins and a small plastic container of salsa. I felt this was insufficient for a sandwich meant to be eaten with your hands and was challenging to eat. The service was lacking and the sandwich did not satisfy me. I believe any food truck on Roosevelt Ave offers a better cemita at a lower price. Additionally, parking was a hassle. In conclusion, I do not plan on going back to this restaurant."

Authentic Mexican place to dine in. Everything tasted so fresh and full of flavors.

I loved Tlayuda, and the tacos were pretty good, especially the tongue, because the beef and pig taco was a little dry. The portions were generous. View menu

The service was excellent. The food was fresh and tasty. I really enjoyed the interior design of the restaurant, which had a cheerful and inviting atmosphere with a Oaxacan theme. The chairs were also very comfortable, which was a bonus for me. I would definitely recommend this place.

To be honest, the time passes and this place still have the touch the flavors This place is kidneys with a really Mexican vibe The decorations and the colors the music all includes you at a beautiful place Definitively I recommend the tacos, but the with handmade tortilla are the best O the salmon al pepian is super tasty

Honestly, even after all this time, this restaurant still delivers a unique flavor experience. It truly captures the essence of Mexico with its decor, vibrant colors, and music, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend trying the tacos, especially those made with handmade tortillas—they’re absolutely the best. The salmon al pepian is also incredibly delicious. View menu

Overall, the food was good. The meats were great. Cecina, chicken and al pastor were really good. The sauces were not spicy at all, which I was expecting a little bit of a kick, but taste was good. The chalupas are great. The tortillas that are not handmade, were not great (reason for the 4 stars) Get the hand made tortillas. The staff was friendly. Could come back to try othermenu items.

I ate at this restaurant because it’s close to my job. The first time I was here the food was good but the last time I am not sure what happened. The tacos that I ordered were dried and didn’t have guacamole in them. I believe the tacos Al pastorshould have pineapple in it but mine didn’t. The rest of the food was ok. The service was not that good I believe the serversneed a little of more customer service training. Not sure what happened that day. I am giving them 4 stars I will see whathappens the next time I am around.
