This is a charming little spot off the beaten path. The food was fantastic! My family really enjoyed the hot wings, and the hamsters were excellent as well.

Our first time here as we were headed to the river! Very very clean and very friendly staff. Hubby had tacos and said they were great! I had bacon avocado burger, HUGE! Very flavorful! Beer was ice cold! We will be back.

I have to say that the food at Kallans was extraordinary—mouthwatering and incredibly delicious. On the day of my visit, it was prepared by a local chef from Lucerne Valley, named Ronnie. This restaurant offers the best and most affordable food in the Big Bear/Angelus Oaks region! I highly recommend the tacos, chicken strips, burgers, and especially their wings and fries. They have a wide variety of wing flavors, from classic buffalo to spicy garlic and sweet chili. It’s definitely a place to stop by after a long day of hiking in Big Bear, or if you simply live in the area. The customer service is also excellent!

This is the second time I've attempted to visit on a Saturday night at 8:00, only to find it closed. When it is open, it's a great place with good food and affordable drinks. However, it's been frustrating because it often doesn't operate during the advertised hours. I really enjoy this place, but my recent experiences have been disappointing. If Kallans is open when you go, you'll find generous portions for the price and friendly staff. I just wish their hours were more consistent.

Two stars because I've been here a few times and every time the food was fine, the people friendly and the bartender competent, BUT this Saturday (Feb 17) I walked in with my family hungry after a long day on the road and bypassing Barstow eateries to come here only to have the bartender inform me she couldn't seat us and was closing up for the night because her replacement didn't show and she wasn't going to stay. At 6:15pm. Kallans owners: if repeat customers can't even bet on your restaurant being open at 6pm ON A HOLIDAY WEEKEND SATURDAY, then why are you even in business?!? View menu
