"Karachi Chaat House and its manager Sunny provide exceptional food and even better customer service! We wanted to cater Pakistani food for our Desi/French tea party but most restaurants on Devon weren't open in time to do take out. I got Sunny's number by calling the restaurant and he worked out every detail with me to ensure that we were able to pick up our fresh food hours before they normally open. He even offered to pick up mithai from other restaurants for me since I wouldn't have time myself. Truly exceptional, and the food was BEYOND tasty. Samosas are a generous size and spiced very well and the pani puri is everything you want it to be. Our party loved it! If you are throwing a party and need good take out, please give Karachi House a call!"

We had been wanting to try an authentic chaat place ever since we moved to Chicago. This place definitely did not disappoint. The taste was delicious and the food was fresh. Planning to come here many more times. Would definitely recommend.

We had breakfast here and it was fantastic! The halwa poori was delicious, and the portion was sufficient for two people (if you eat moderately). The woman at the counter was very friendly and treated us wonderfully. Overall, it was a great experience!

On Devon street small corner spot but authentic taste. Prices are reasonable and always fresh samosa pakora. Every time I go on Devon I love samosa and pakora with chai. We order meat korma but korma was not fresh and didn't like it. But pratah and omelette was tasty.

We ordered Paani Poori, and it was absolutely fantastic! We also tried the Samosa Chaat and a non-veg appetizer, both of which were delicious. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. The owner, who assisted us at the counter, was kind enough to provide us with containers for our leftovers. I would definitely recommend this place. Be sure to check out their menu! View menu

I'm new to Chicago, IL, and lately, I've been exploring various halal and desi restaurants with my friends and family. Last night, on Sunday, we visited Karachi Chat House to try their fries, specialty chaat, kebab paratha, behari boti paratha, and tea. Everything was superb! The behari boti paratha was a bit spicy, but the other items were just perfect. I especially enjoyed their tea—it was fantastic!

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
