The mgr found out it was my birthday and took the time to celebrate me with cake slice and whipped cream. The cake was delicious. I will recommend this restaurant to family and friends. Family restaurant with an patio for diners, and pet friendly. The view of the ocean and nearby boats can be seen from almost every angle. smell of seawater is prevalent"

This was our second visit to Katie's Seafood House. Flavor of the food was outstanding and we chose to be seated outside which was perfect. Will go again on our next trip to Galveston.

Hush puppies were very dry. 8 shrimp for $24 was expensive. Did not eat the fries or coleslaw and the hush puppies were very, very dry. Only ate the shrimp. Not impressed for the price! View menu

The drinks and appetizers were fantastic, but the main courses fell short. The smoked oysters were disappointing, and the desserts were just average. However, the staff was very attentive and friendly.

Our first trip to Katie's and we were very impressed. The selection was so unique and the service was beyond great. Food was in good sized portions with plenty of leftovers for another meal. Five friends and we give Katie five stars.

Everything was excellent. Our server, Emma, was wonderful. She thoroughly explained all the various dishes and was very attentive without being intrusive. Dining outside was the highlight, as the inside was a bit loud. We’ll definitely return next time we're in Galveston.

Additionally, the waiter left the dumbwaiter and tray right next to me while we waited. Eventually, my meal arrived, but it was served with gummy rice, a watery cilantro sauce that tasted overwhelmingly of lemon, and overcooked, unseasoned vegetables. The only redeeming aspect were the grilled shrimp, which were edible. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had.
