"Worst Customer Service Ever!. I went to the drive thru tonight and ordered one gyro. I had been looking forward to a gyro all day. I got home and found out that it was a sandwich of some kind and I called the restaurant right away and asked to speak to the manager. I told him that I had received the wrong order and he proceeded to drill me on what it was that I received. After he had me mention every ingredient, I told him that it wasn't on a pita, it was on something like a hot dog bun. He proceeded to yell at me for some reason and told me that I had gone to the wrong place and that they do not sell hot dogs. I tried to tell him that it was not a hot dog, that I was simply trying to...read more"

OK food. Cash only. The portions are huge. The food is pretty good. But as of last visit this was still a cash only restaurant. Daily specials.

with a distance the worst burger I've ever eaten. it lacked taste and extremely greasy. my man and I both have the king kong burger with cheese. we also have food poisoning. I'll never be back. this restaurant is dirty and also not well maintained.

Fast Food at Sit-Down Prices. King-Kong Burger makes great food, with a fun variety. Get your greasy Greek food, a thick burger, amazing French-fries, even a baclava for dessert. It's all great in that greasy fast-food way, but these are not fast-food pices. I almost always do a tiny double-take at my receipt when I visit.

I tried dodge. was not impressed by this situation and this situation. tzatziki sose tastes like pure sour cream or Greek yogurt. dallop from daisy, someone? someone gives them something gurke, lemon juice and dill please! bland bland bland, I thought maybe it was a mistake at a place, but it is not. I'd rather stay with the burger. the burgers are not too terrible. the customer service was okay. restaurant was clean forget not to bring cash. there are several king kong stands in the entire Omaha area. Why do these local businesses tend to open several stalls and lose the focus on the real aspekt of the restaurant? it's about eating...read more

no fan. I've been here in the last six years. Personally, I think this place is a bit overrated, overrated and overpriced gyros are just okay. I think they can better pee gyros on Greek or at john’s grecian delight. Actually, almost all gyros restaurants get their gyros meat from the same firma (cronos) and cook it in the same brand of vertical broilers. so there is really not much difference in the taste of the meat from one gyroscope to another. the only thing that does very is the texture, since some put it on a flat top grill foam before it is served and others put it in front shave and that can dry it a little. So, it's the Pita...read more View menu

Wednesday Steak Special. Wednesday is steak day at King Kong. The put out an excellent 8oz sirloin with fries, salad, pita bread and a drink for about $10. The place is always busy but packed on Wednesdays 18 Nov, 2011 Just good food. I eat here one Friday a month for lunch and I always enjoy it. Is it the gorilla statues, the fine vinyl booths patched with duct tape, or the 18 inches of counter space where you order and pick up food which turns into a chaotic log jam once they get busy? No, I go for the food. The burgers are huge with lots of fries. This location is packed with blue collar labor guys who need the 1/2 lb burger to fuel them for the day. Since I sit at a...read more

Ralston 72nd Street is best of the Omaha locations; food decent but pricy. When I lived nearby, I would go to the 44th and Dodge location until the service fell through the floor. When the staff repeatedly made mistakes with my food or didn't listen to me, I stopped making the mistake of going there Now I live close to the Ralston location on 72nd St. The food is decent, even good, though a bit expensive even given the large portions. (I often joke that when ordering one of their double burgers with cheese and bacon, I'm getting half a cow on a bun I will often choose between their combo Philly, the Greek salad with Gyro meat, or the double burger. And I often get a side of fries...read more

"First, the restaurant is super cool. You enter and immediately see the open kitchen and bar below. We were seated with a great view of the working kitchen. It was our anniversary and they presented us with complimentary bubbly and a menu that read Happy Anniversary at the top. Our server was prompt and kind. We ordered apps and our meal at the same time. Apps were a little slow but we don 't mind taking our time. The andouille sausage over grits was good but a bit oversalted. The croquettes were good but somewhat mushy. Overall flavor profile was good. Some time passed after completing our appys and began to notice the kitchen plating dishes and entrees being served to every table except ours. Again, not in a hurry so we weren 't upset. But it became excessive. Large groups seated while we had appetizers were served their entrees. Small tables seated after we finished our appetizers were served. The kitchen can put out food fast, just not ours. So now our apps are expanding in our belly and our excitement about our meals are diminishing. Finally our entrees arrived. My snapper raw. So sad. The gnocchi was ok but again, way over salted. But the flavor profile was so good. This had the ability to be amazing. My husband ordered the wagyu flank steak. It was just not good. He barely ate one piece and left his sides as again they were way way over salted. Our server noticed that we barely ate our meals and spent time asking for feedback. She was very kind and the manager discounted my meal (which I did not want, but appreciate). Anyway, we probably won 't be back. Good presentations. Very good flavor profiles. Failure to deliver overall though due to extremely salty, improper cooking and extraordinary wait times. Hopefully they can improve as some other recent reviews reflect similar feedback."
