"Saw the sign for best lobster roll. Decided to try it. It was $38 for the smallest lobster roll I've ever had. Truly felt like a joke. The roll was decent taste wise. I also ordered the lobster bisque and clam chowder. Both soups felt like the poured a cup of water into it before serving it into small bowls. It was $15 for the bisque that had 2 small pieces of lobster in it and was essentially butter flavored water. My kids ordered the chicken which felt like they just warmed up frozen chicken in the oven and threw it on a plate. The fries were easily the best part of the meal."

The service was excellent, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and the food was tasty, but there's much more to discuss.

Cute local lunch spot with good food and cozy atmosphere. Order the deluxe roll for delicious crispy fries on the side! Dog friendly outdoor seating available.

Wonderful service. I had the lobster bisque and fish tacos made into a bowl(not listed on the menu but a recommendation from my server). Everything tasted amazing.

Made a reservation through open table. Arrived with a party of 8 to celebrate with a group of friends and the restaurant was closed. Left us scrambling. Nothing on their website about being closed. View menu

Excellent service, food is not as great as was expected. Pork belly was decent flavor wise, but mostly just fat. Fries were great. Fish tacos are ok. More of a breading than fried, I’d avoid it to be honest. Better fish tacos elsewhere. Definitelytry it.

Cute quiet place. We had our first NE lobster rolls and they were tasty. I’m not sure if everything in Newport is priced this high, but this felt like a safe place to get a roll at some reasonable prices. But ours (in May) were $38 a piece. It is alsotechnically a sit-down place, so after the tip for just our rolls (which come with lays chips and a tiny thing of slaw andpickles), our bill was just under $100. I would expect this from a more fancy sit-down place but this place felt way morecasual. Idk.

The food was decent, but I don't think it was worth the price. I spent $38 on a lobster roll and paid an extra $3 to upgrade to fries instead of Cape Cod chips. For that price, I expected a bit more flavor or butter in the lobster roll. It was also quite small—one could finish it in just a few bites. I also tried the clam chowder, but it was a bit too salty for my taste; with less salt, it could have been really good. My brother-in-law ordered the fish tacos, and I found them to be honestly better than the lobster roll. View menu

Excellent food and service! I love to find small gems like this when on vacation and Knot Norm’s fit the bill. I will admit I had no idea the lobster roll was $38 but I didn’t ask and it was a lot of perfectly cooked lobster. From a food perspective a small menu of fresh items that have the right seasoning is a key to success. Everything was super tasty including the slawand pickles. From a service perspective everyone was so nice and highly engaged in making sure we had everything weneeded. Great experience, people and food!

I love Knot norms! It's a very charming restaurant though it was rly busy that day so the service was a little slow. The decor is rustic and it felt like a little seaside getaway. I got the lobster roll and my dad got the fish tacos. The lobster rolls came out around $38 which is pretty pricy, though it is based off market price. The fish tacos had fried fish which were pretty small and weren't the best fish tacos I've had regarding flavor. The little mayo dip for our fries were so tasty though! Overall very delicious food and great experience!
