"There’s a lot of hyperbole in Google reviews that makes it hard to distinguish fine from good to great. Koo deserves all the praise and compliments and five-star ratings. Friends took us to Koo — and reserved the bar seating — for the absolutely best sushi I’ve ever had. The bar experience is unique from the dining room: the sushi chefs make sashimi based on the day’s fish inventory and keep serving until you say to stop. This is among my top 10 restaurants of all time. When I visit SF again, I’ll be back."

Except parking, this is a great place to visit. Tried Omakase this time. Tasty and reasonable price. All the fish is fresh. The spoon of happiness is the highlight!

The sushi was incredibly tasty, and the service was exceptional—I couldn't help but mention it several times. The only downside was that our dinner cost $60 per person.

The menu is heavily focused on crab, which isn't really my preference. However, the albacore tuna sashimi was excellent, and the Tokyo Roll was enjoyable as well. Food Rating: 4/5. View menu

I'm glad to see that Koo is still in business. The sashimi combo was fresh, well-portioned, and absolutely delicious. The mint pork rib wraps were expertly prepared and packed with fantastic flavor! I will definitely be returning.

Quick and fast service….. delicious food! Girlfriend chose it as a restaurant to take me to for my birthday….. She chose well! Would recommend! We tried the combo meal, fried tofu and tempura ice cream (green tea) Will be returning!

While the nigiri stole the show, I truly enjoyed the sashimi selections as well. We had scallop, tuna, and kampachi, and the kampachi was exceptional. The scallop was incredibly fresh and tender. Thank you, Koo, for such a wonderful birthday meal! View menu

Koo (which means eat) is an awesome sushi spot and a standout in the crowded field of sushi places in San Francisco. If you want an authentic omakase experience Koo is the place. Hit the sushi bar, buy the chefs a beer, and ask them to make you anything, you won't be disappointed.

I visited this restaurant and opted to sit at the sushi bar, and I was pleasantly surprised by both the quality of the food and the prices. Sitting at the sushi bar really enhanced my dining experience. It wasn't too busy, and on most nights, you can walk in without needing a reservation.

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
