"La Fesca is one of three Latin restaurants owned by Hector Ruiz, and it’s definitely one of my favorites! It offers the best authentic Mexican cuisine in Minneapolis, without a doubt. We’ve dined here multiple times and have savored both meat and fish dishes, as well as seafood. Each dish is prepared the way we experienced Mexican food during our travels in Mexico—stunningly delicious and beautifully presented. You really need to taste it to fully appreciate what authentic Mexican food is all about. One thing is for sure: after visiting La Fesca, you’ll never look at a burrito with rice and beans the same way again!"

La Fresca is undoubtedly the best restaurant in Minneapolis. The cuisine is both unique and accessible, and every dish I've tried has been exceptional. The service is consistently excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I highly recommend it!

Started with Guacamole. Interesting presentation served with chili spiced oil blend on plate around. A bit pricey, but very good food, atmosphere, staff. Lots of seafood. I'll be back. Carne asada was a tender juicy medium beef tenderloin sliced. Nothing was to spicy.

I went last night with a reservation, but we were seated an hour and a half late, and the staff offered only minimal apologies. Our waiter seemed more focused on trying to sell us drinks than on providing quality service. While the food was good, the overall experience didn't make it worth it. View menu

While it’s not my top pick among Hector Ruiz's establishments in South Minneapolis, it’s still a solid choice. They have a great wine selection, and as someone who doesn’t eat red meat, I really appreciated the variety of seafood options. Our favorite dish was the Mariscos small plate, but the halibut was also excellent. The guacamole was just okay, but it’s a good starter if you’re feeling hungry.

This is not your traditional Mexican restaurant. It's certainly Mexican flavored inspired dishes but you won't find any burritos here not a bad thing, it just caught us off guard walking past when we saw a Mexican restaurant. The guacamole is phenomenal and the carne asada (aka tenderloin) with asparagus and potatoes au gratin was delicious. Most of the entrees are seafood dishes though so if you're not a fish person your only other protein option is steak I couldn't see any chicken on the menu. Wonderful service and a beautiful patio environment.
