"Very nice ambience. It was a date night for us, but lots of families around us with young children which wasn’t a problem at all. The sounds of the open kitchen compensated for any noise the kids may have been making before the live music started. Once the music started, the noise level was still at level to carry on a conversation. We were in the middle back of the room. Music was at the front door near the bar. The food never disappoints. We had 2 appetizers, goat cheese ball and tuna tetake. Both fabulous! For the mains, I had the grouper. My husband had the crab cakes. Both excellent! We will definitely be back."

Very disappointed. $17 for 7 shrimp. That is very ridiculous. Definitely do not recommend the bang bang shrimp for that price. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

The house band was good but way too loud for such a small environment. People at the bar may want the high volume, but the rest of the restaurant guests would expect to hear themselves talk. Grouper tacos had way too much mayonnaise, and the salads weren’t what they used to be. Otherwise good service and typically a decent place for dinner.

Everything about our experience at Local on North was excellent. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The service was just the right amount of attention without being overbearing. All of the food was excellent. The spring rolls, bang bang shrimp, cheesecake empanada and creme brulee were all incredible. This is definitely on our list for a return visit. Seem they were a bit overwhelmed for the holiday weekend so they were sitting in the basement party area. Not a bad thing if your kitchen and staff can keep up. Food came out cold and when we complained they took it back, re-heated it and re-plated it. Not a great option with a sauced dish since not you have no sauce. The chef here usually knows what he is doing so when that was done it was very disappointing. When you have more demand than the kitchen and staff can handle the answer is not to just add more table!

We have always wanted to try Local on North due to so many people recommended eating there . We were excited to eat lunch there finally and the service was great , atmosphere lovely .Our grouper tacos were terrible , I literally had like two crumb like pieces of the supposedly grouper , and there was not much more to brag about the tacos . Maybe they were running short on grouper for the tacos? But instead of “Where’s the beef ?” It is “Where’s the fried grouper “ ? "Since this is my first review of 2023 and also my 100th, I decided to review a place that serves something very near and dear to my heart: Bubble Tea! Food: I tried two things; Cookie butter bubble tea and the pandan waffle. I love anything cookie butter so this bubble tea hit the spot exactly how I needed it to! It's probably the best thing that tastes exactly like the actual butter/biscoff cookies in a different form. I love it so much I'm planning on using it as a reward as I accomplish my 2023 goals! It is extremely sweet, so I suggest telling the cashier to make it less sweet. The pandan waffle was also delicious, it is a regular waffle but they use food coloring to make it look wacky. It is sweeter like cake but still crispy on the outside. They have a large variety of tea and toppings options so I'm sure you'll be able to find what wets your whistle. Service: Service was great. Since it was my first time at this cafe, the cashier was very forthcoming with information. She was the one to suggest that I make my bubble tea less sweet. Ambiance: The cafe is pretty small on the inside. It has some seating but isn't a place to hang out and have a drink, so just grab what you need and leave. It is cutesy like most places that serve these types of drinks. The menu can be overwhelming since there are many options but as previously mentioned, customer service was great at info with the drinks. Overall great place and I can't wait to visit again. Happy sipping!"
