very good quality of meals, love of trade and heartfelt felt in the plate. hot spot, I relive you hard to stop and spend a very good time of gust. it is very nice to have a restaurant where the kitchen is made home. They soon returned without hesitation.

Voila ma troisieme visite en une semaine et c est tout simplement délicieux! Une bonne cuisine familiale de pays, un accueil sympathique. Quant au rapport qualité prux il n est pas bon...il est excellent! imbattable même! Apres avoir visité d autres restos dans le coin....à recommander sans hésitation

Allez y les yeux fermés. Accueil souriant et surtout cuisine du terroir succulente. Menu a 26 Euros super. Pour ma part le filet de truite et brési était excellent mais le meilleur c'est la Cuisse de cannette aux griottes de Fougerolles qui en plus d'être super bien presenté est une superbe réalisation culinaire. Bon accueil. La serveuse était seule avec beaucoup de monde dans la salle intérieure et la terrasse ; malgré ce le service était rapide.Le menu de semaine à 14€ offre un très bon rapport qualité/prix.Belle entrée (terrine et salade) copieuse ; blanquette de veau et riz, puis excellent dessert (avec un bon choix) ; café compris.Etablissement sérieux ; cuisine appliquée

You will not pass L'Oeil de Boeuf, in Mouthe, easily because it’s not really on a route to anywhere but if you are in the general area of south-eastern France, next to the Swiss border, this wonderful restaurant is worth the trouble of finding because this how eating out used to be in France. The style of cooking is French Alpine – sort of Escoffier Haute Cuisine but simplified. I nearly said Escoffier Lite then – but the food is absolutely not for the diet conscious. Loads of cheese, gallons of cream, fries to die for – a heart attack on every plate. But the food is sublime – clever, subtle, beautifully presented and incredibly affordable. The only downside is that the service is a bit slow...

Having tried a few local good value auberges, we thought we would try a 'restaurant '. L 'Oeil is easy to find on the main road through Mouthe, opposite the Tourist Information shop. The main dining room is upstairs, decorated in typical country hunting and skiing style. As it was 1st November holiday the cheaper 'menus ' were not available, so we chose from the €22.50 menu. We were given an amuse bouche of mini potage whilst choosing. The waiter (owner I think) was very busy, buzzing about, but very efficient, and the dishes arrived with perfect timing.
