It is a mostly standard Mexican place. Portion sizes and prices are reasonable. The atmosphere feels very hometown, very cozy. Chips still come with the meal without question (not true of some now). I didn't love the salsa, but they had a taco sauce that was really good my uncle knew to ask for. As a random treat for my kids, the train looks like it'll come directly into the store. Not sure how often it comes by, but that was cool.

My favorite kind of restaurant is a packed up with people kind of chatty taco house. They always have tempting cakes sitting near the pick up counter. Price for my favorite wet burrito is reasonable. I suggest the chicken, my husband suggests the ground beef. Parking: I have no physical limitations, but if you do, it may be hard to get a parking spot near the restaurant. I usually have to park a block away and cross the street when we order take out.

The place itself is outdated but that was a plus for me because I enjoy businesses that feel like a time capsule. The owner was there when I ate there, told us (my colleague and I) about the history of the business and was a very appreciative man. The staff was extremely cordial and inviting and always ready to answer questions with smiles. I'll be coming back soon. The wet burrito was fantastic as well as the Sopapillas. Prices are competitive and portion sizes were generous. View menu
