"Four generations!. I had dinner with my parents at the Lotus Garden. I have taken my own kids there all of their lives. Now, I take my grandkids! The Lotus has been there all this time for a reason, the food is great! Egg rolls and barbecued pork are house made and delicious! Best sweet and sour pork and chicken you 've ever had. Not to mention, chow mein, lo mein, fried rice, moo goo gai pan, and Szechwan. Some things they have done the same way forever, the cracker and bun basket anyone? Many items on their American menu are not to be missed either. Best Manhattan 's ever! Best cocktail? I say Rum Cow, but fabulous tropical drinks reign supreme here! Don 't forget to say hey to Jimmy! He was the star of the show there in the 70s (still is ha! , when I was a little high school kid working in the 'coffee shop ', which is now the buffet next door. Hopefully the Lotus Garden will be serving great food for 50 more years! And, to the gentleman who has issues with the decor, the Chinese kitsch is part of it man!!!"

Decenct Chinese Food. Decent food, a lot better than any buffet. I have been eating here for over 20 years and it has had its ups and downs. They do however have the best eggrolls around, and their crab ragoon is awesome as well. For the price it is really hard to beat.

Been going there since I was young, same as my mom back in the 60s/70s. I always enjoy going there especially for sweet sour chicken getting waited on by Wayne, a dear sweet old man. Don't let the exterior fool you definitely not a shady Chinese buffet as most places are today. As authentic as it comes!

Best Chinese food in Indiana!. Love it! Worth driving 40 minutes! When I was a little girl, we were regular customers of the Lotus Garden on the northside and sad that it left the northside. I love dining in and Lotus Garden is always served every Christmas at my home. We get the dinner for 5. You can't go wrong with anything you order...their American menu is very good, too! View menu

You are here for the food and service. You'll need to get past the decor to truly appreciate this place... it is 1968/1972 all over again and the Koi pond, though a potentially nice touch, could sure use updating. But, you are here for the food and the service! And the food and service is wonderful!<br/ <br/ The Lotus Fried Rice is wonderful, so is General Tso and his chicken. The Egg Drop Soup is the best I have ever had.<br/ <br/ This is fantastic Chinese/american food, done right. And top notch service. Enjoy the food and the service and keep coming back... just ignore the decor. :
