Louie’s is an excellent restaurant!! The food is fantastic!!! The service is top notch. It’s also a very quaint and comfortable little spot!

We've only stopped here for lunch in conjunction with southern tier errands. This last time was our first since the total renovation of the place and it really looks wonderful. The service was wonderful, the tomato soup as good as we remembered it, and our resolve to get down there for dinner some time strengthened. I think you won't regret visiting this place.

The food here was the best Italian food I've had in a long time. I had the tour of Italy and if you can get down to Hanover Square it is well worth your time. They brought fresh bread to the table. The Calimari appetizer was fantastic. I also tasted some of the Phillie cheese steak sub and it melted in my mouth to perfection. The Horseradish sauce was tantalizing. View menu

We had a wonderful dinner with our family to celebrate multiple birthdays. The staff was excellent and our waitress, Samantha, was outstanding. She was very attentive and helped make our night very pleasant and unforgettable. The food was amazing, especially the salmon. Everyone enjoyed their meals, even the children who cleaned their plates. It was a fantastic experience and we highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

I recently had a meal at this restaurant and when the waitress realized there were no pickles on my order, she quickly brought some to my table. However, she accidentally spilled pickle juice on my food while serving it. The hotplate was replaced within 10 seconds, but it was the same plate that I had been using. Despite this mistake, I was disappointed that no manager came to check on our table or address the issue. Overall, the service was lacking and it seems like the staff do not prioritize customer satisfaction.

My first visit, definitely will not be my last! We moved to Elmira from Syracuse about 2 years ago and this was our first visit to Louies. This was the best dining experience I've had in 10 years. Louies has a great ambience, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Barbara was our server and she was on point, it appeared all the staff was too. Drinks always full, she was very attentive but not overbearing. The food... OMG the food. The bread was phenomenal (I'm very picky about my bread), I am also funny when it comes to fountain soda, the mixes are always different. There's was perfect. The salad was good, but it's salad...
