I challenge you to find a better cupcake on the upper west side. They are delicious and fresh and perfect for sharing. We always buy a 6 pack.

Decent cake. You can tell a trained pastry chef doesn’t make the cakes due to the taste and decoration. However, If you’re looking for a good tasting cake with a plain/basic design this place is great

The red velvet icing lacked cream cheese flavor and was overly sweet. The cake itself was dense and dry, although it did have a pleasant taste. On the other hand, the vanilla cupcake with buttercream frosting was quite enjoyable, though the icing was also too sweet. The cake had a rich, eggy flavor that was delicious.

The owner appears to be a fantastic person, so I'm glad to support this business. The vanilla cupcake was quite good, though the frosting was a bit too sweet for my taste. I first visited this restaurant about 12 years ago, where I tried a red velvet cupcake and shared a sweet potato cheesecake with my friend. Before tasting that cheesecake, I had never liked cheesecake at all, but it was so delicious that I found myself crying while eating it, completely changing my perspective on cheesecake. I think about that cheesecake every single day. Now it's my favorite, and I can't wait for my next visit so I can enjoy it again!

Ordered a birthday cake (red velvet) from here for a party last night. Pick up went smoothly, cake was huge and beautiful and everyone at the party raves about how fantastic it was. The cake was moist and flavorful and the color was a deep rich red, the cream cheese frosting was sweet but not overpowering. I would absolutely recommend Make My Cake for any special occasion. The ordering process was easy And their prices are reasonable which is rare in this city!

Been supporting this business for 20+ years and will continue to try to do so movinf forward. The cake remain 4.5-5 stars generally. Has been hit or miss in recent years but I chalk that up to new workers still learning the right techniques.However, I’m super disappointed with the 125th street location. Service is average. Low to no energy and zero pleasantries. One star off. And the portions have become SIGNIFICANTLY smaller (e.g. cupcakes are HALF the OG size) at the same or increased price. I get inflation is crushing everyone, especially small businesses, BUT the major change in portion size is incredibly obvious.
