Mario's Mexican Salvadorian

As a Florida native, I truly miss Hispanic cuisine. This restaurant is a fantastic reminder of home; the food is delightful, and the service is exceptional!

Every time we come to this restaurant, we have a fantastic experience. We love sitting at the bar, as it really enhances the atmosphere. The salmon dish is outstanding, and the steak was also wonderful.

The menu features a wonderful and tasty selection of Mexican and Salvadorian dishes. The margaritas and mimosas are excellent, and I especially love their combo meals! If you haven't visited Mario's yet, I highly recommend giving it a try. Make sure to ask for Armando and Renata! View menu

The chips and dips (salsa, salsa verde, and bean) were fantastic! They were fresh and full of flavor! I ordered the tacos al carbon without the tortillas, and they were delicious! The menu is reasonably priced and offers great value! It's a wonderful spot for margaritas and tasty food!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. I ordered the enchiladas, and they were some of the best I've ever had in Texas. They were so delicious that I almost proposed to the chef! In short, if you get the chance, stop by and treat yourself. I might even see you there because I’ll definitely be going back. Food: 5/5

The service here is outstanding. Abel was our server and he did a fantastic job; I would definitely request him again! We were seated promptly, and our drinks and food came out quickly. I never had an empty cup, and they continuously replenished the beans, salsa, and chips! The food itself is quite good; my husband mentioned that the fajitas are the best he’s had in the area. I recently ordered takeout for lunch, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was exceptional, earning a perfect score of 5 out of 5. The pupusas, in particular, were a standout; they were delicious and completely satisfied my cravings. The service was excellent as well, with friendly staff who made sure my order was ready quickly. Even in a takeout situation, the atmosphere conveyed the warm and inviting spirit of the restaurant. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a satisfying lunch!

On the bright side, the price was reasonable—$80 for three lunches, including a tip, and we only ordered three iced teas. However, because of the lack of flavor and the temperature of the food, we decided not to return. I'm taking away two stars for the taste and temperature, and one star for the overall value; you can get better food at Taco Bueno for a fraction of the price. When we were searching for a place to eat, the restaurant suggested making reservations, which led me to believe it would be a great spot. Yet, there were over 20 tables and booths, and we were the only customers there. That pretty much sums up my experience at Mario's.

We ordered takeout: one chicken enchilada with sour cream sauce, served with rice and charro beans, and one enchilada montada topped with queso, along with all charro beans. When we picked up our order, it was already packed, so we didn’t check it on-site. Once we got home, we found that we had actually received two enchiladas montadas with sour cream sauce on top, both with rice and charro beans. I called the restaurant to explain what happened and spoke to three different people, but I was met with confusion each time.
