"I really wish I could give this resort a 4.5 as it was great in SO many ways, but we did have a few issues. Let 's talk about the good/great (besides some of the details I note separately : Location it 's not on a beach, but otherwise, the location is awesome! There is a tiny beach when the tide is out. Must be some good fishing as we saw people fishing every day (and even at night sometimes see photo . Easy for getting on Sanibel/Captiva. View we got upgraded to the main tower (Sanibel due to my Marriott level. I don 't know if we would have had such a great experience in the Captiva tower. I couldn 't get enough of the view. From the balcony, I watched the sunsets, a thunderstorm (didn 't get wet either , the happenings at the pool and the dolphins (every day! in the water. Our last day, there were multiple dolphins playing in the water and even a manatee. Service Pradeep at the front desk is a rock star! And we had great service at Courtside by the maitre d ' and another server (whose name I can 't remember, but it begins with an S, she 's from Jamaica and has a son I hate that I 'm terrible with names but remember all of that . Marriott these people are truly assets and making the experience at this resort so memorable!Okay, so a few things that could have made it a 5 and aren 't totally within the control of the resort: Bugs I got bit here (and everywhere I went, lol! . There are also a lot of dragonflies buzzing about, and sometimes dead ones in the pool. Not a huge deal, but FYI if they freak you out. Wifi I didn 't really use it, but my son complained constantly about the wifi (he 's almost 17 . It was spotty, he said. The TV OMG, this TV is probably the size of my computer monitor at home. We laughed when we saw how small it was. We never ended up watching any TV while there. Construction we weren 't really prepared for the constant construction. I get they are rebuilding, but I don 't recall the extent of it being clear when I booked. Mostly, it didn 't bother us, but there was one day when there was a lot more noise than usual and this beeping from some vehicle that went on for a while. Or they would block access to certain paths to the pools. That one front desk person no idea of her name, but we asked when checkout was. She told us 11 am. I said my Marriott level and was told it didn 't matter as they were full and was dismissed. Later, we saw our buddy Pradeep and asked him, and he gave us until noon. We ended up checking out around 11 am anyway, but that was our only bad service experience. The smell we were here for three nights, and the day we checked out, it stunk outside. Not sure why, and maybe it got better later in the day, but it was stinky that morning.Without hesitation, I will book at this hotel again we are already talking about our next trip to FMB/Sanibel/Captiva, and I am sure part of our stay will include a few nights here. By then, I hope the spa is open! And I look forward to more sunsets and dolphin sightings from my balcony in the Sanibel tower. : Rooms: Our room was nice for the most part. Had two queens, fridge, coffee maker, good size closet with plenty of hangers, big safe. Big bathroom with decent counter space. I loved the balcony for just watching stuff or drying things on the two chairs. We were on the third floor, so we did get the dragon flies (and maybe other bugs up there. We did have some room issues the desk chair looked like someone had leaned back too far and broken it. The lamp on the desk was coming apart the bulb socket part. We didn 't use that lamp. And there wasn 't much water pressure we also struggled to get anything but very warm to hot water in the shower.Nearby activities: Super easy to access Sanibel/Captiva. Not too far from restaurants, shops, etc. We did a shelling tour one day out of Sanibel harbor, and it was maybe a 15 minute drive to get there, even with tr"

The restaurant is conveniently located just before the toll bridge leading to Sanibel town. During our visit, we enjoyed a lovely dinner cruise, which was a great experience. However, on our checkout day, the power went out, and the generator didn't start up. The staff was helpful and assisted us with our luggage from the 8th floor as we made our way down the stairs to the lobby. Overall, I would rate the rooms 5 out of 5.

As a wedding planner who has also been a guest at this venue, I recently organized a wedding for my clients over the weekend. I had a fantastic experience working with Joanne Kreise from the Weddings and Events team, and her staff was outstanding. Rohan, the Catering Manager, also impressed us and went above and beyond our expectations. I eagerly anticipate planning and recommending more weddings at this location in the future.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel from 07/01/23 thru 07/04/23 and our experience was quite stellar. First, we were able to check in early and our clean room had beautiful water vista. We were able to witness great sunrise and sunset views. Also, we enjoyed one of refreshing swimming pools located in the Sanibel tower. Furthermore, the staff truly performed over the top service. Hotel personnel such Lexiss, Diane, Jimmy, Nick, Dave, Nelson, Brunet and many others made our stay an enjoyable, relaxing, and memorable one. We look forward to coming back soon. View menu

Rooms were dirty, dusty. Didn't always get clean towels took them from the cart.Problem with air-conditioning for hours no food, no explanations. No back up generators stairways dark one had windows part way was lite. Handicapped had problems getting down (as my husband) the stairways, some had to be brought down by the fire department. Leaks in the ceiling, microphone cutting out during important speeches. Very, very disappointed Marriott. Our conversation should not have taken place at this location Marriott should of suggested one of there other vacilities.

Very disappointed. Room was not as expected by pictures we saw on website. We had to travel 3 different floors just to get ice. The TV in room has maybe 10 channels where only 2-3 worked. We only had a choice of the News or Family Feud, very boring. The restaurants located in hotel only served part of the menu until after 5:30 p.m. which made no sense to us. Only a fridge in bedroom and a tiny coffee maker. You have to pay $15 dollars to park there or $25 for valet parking for a hotel that offers nothing in my opinion. They offer you to FREE bottled waters per day not cold. This place appears to be high class, I would never go back. I would have done better staying home honestly.

The resort is beautiful. They have repaired a lot of the damage caused by Hurricane Ian. They have the best views and resturaunts are great. The service was excellent and they were responsive when we had problems with our room. One major problem was the infestation of dust mites. I don't think they realize how bad this is . Luckily I spotted the issue and had to move into a different room. The next room was better but we could see same problem but not as many. Luckily we were only there two nights. They need to make sure they are vacuuming and cleaning the corners of all rooms and elevators. Also they are charging to park in self parking and adding resort fees without informing us ahead of time... The place is amazing. Driving in to the resort felt amazing as well as the lobby and the customer service coming into the resort. We loved the room the moment we walked in and so fourth. After checking in we quickly settled down and ran to the pool. When we arrived the pool was amazing right next to the bar. BUT for some reason the music playing was not the vibe at ALL. They kept playing sad and unknown music really kept bothering me. After that we just ended up going back to the room and called room service to setup out sofa bed since they weren't aware to set it up. After showering we had a Disgusting smell coming from the pipe system in the restroom. We called the front desk and they simp...

On the morning of our checkout, we woke up feeling extremely hot and sweaty because the hotel's power had gone out, causing the rooms to become uncomfortably warm. Everyone had to use the stairs as the only remaining amenity was the pool. Although we enjoyed our first night and the bed was comfortable, the hotel itself felt quite average and still has a long way to go in recovering from the hurricane. One positive aspect is its convenient location; it’s just an 11-minute drive over the bridge to Sanibel, making it ideal for tourists. However, this is definitely a tourist trap where they nickel-and-dime you for everything. We didn't receive our receipt until a few days later due to the power...

"The shrimp egg roll was large and crispy, with a cooked cabbage filling instead of raw, and the shrimp were noticeably big and flavorful. I was truly impressed! I could easily make a meal out of just the egg rolls. The Kyoto sushi roll was fresh, which is a must for sushi—I'd definitely order it again. The crab Rangoon was also good and fresh. Everything was so delicious that I ended up ordering extra shrimp egg rolls and crab Rangoon for the kids back home. The portion sizes and quality made it well worth the price, and I spent just over $40, including the second round of appetizers. I made sure to tip the waitress for her excellent service. We returned just a week later, as we were all raving about the shrimp egg rolls. This time, we opted for takeout. I ordered a bento box with fried rice, shrimp, a shrimp egg roll, and miso soup ($14.95). My aunt got a bento box too, which included extra crab Rangoon and shrimp egg rolls. The food was neatly packaged and organized by order—very impressive! Everything was hot and tasted great, with enough food in each bento box to satisfy two people. The vegetables and rice were fresh, and the miso soup helped me feel better since I was a bit under the weather. Overall, it's a solid 5 out of 5 for me. The location is convenient, the outdoor area is clean, and the interior, while small, is tidy and has a pleasant aroma. The decor is nice, and the service was excellent on both visits. I highly recommend checking them out—you won’t be disappointed!"
