"It was a birthday dinner. We hadn’t been together as a group for a year due to COVID, so we were really looking forward to it. We picked MGFD because it’s consistently good and most central to us all. The experience was horrible from the start. We waited a long while just to get water, and longer for the drinks. They arrived after our appetizers. We ordered the whole snapper who unbeknownst to us was at least an hour wait. I wish the sever would’ve mentioned that as they held the rest of our food with it. They tried bringing us chips; however it was in no ones interest. To make a long story shorter, most of the food quality was still what was expected, but the service was horrible and to make it worse, when the manager approached us to apologize, he offered us complimentary deserts as it was a birthday celebration, and never did one arrive at the table. We were there hours, and it was the longest meal I’ve had to wait for in my life. I don’t even think the fish was started til after and hour and a half into our visit. The hamburger was completely over cooked or left sitting waiting for the fish and it kept cooking itself. Regardless, the birthday girl, a foodie, was more than disappointed by the experience. This is my first and hopefully my only poor review on this site. Best"

Michael’s never disappoints and is as good as ever! Had the classic Stracciatela with peaches and an amazing tuna crudo with soy alioli which were standouts in our meal and finished with Harry’s chocolate chunk cookies and a glass of milk

I have loved Michael’s every time I have gone. My server completely forgot about us, then never asked us what we wanted for a drink. Our appetizers were bland, hard to eat and just completely disappointing. I’m so sad! I was really looking forward to another amazing night. The food was just OK, really salty, not very original and not worth the price in my opinion. I ordered Michaels Secret burger, didn’t like it at all, the two huge fried onion rings were bigger than the actual meat that couldn’t be found. The service was horrible. When we asked our waiter for some appetizers he said he couldn’t order them until we ordered our main courses too. When we asked for some water he basically threw the bottle in the table, I guess he really didnt want to be there. We even felt uncomfortable actually ordering him food, and when we asked for dessert he didn’t even respond. Maybe it was just bad luck? We were expecting more with those reviews, definitely disappointed

Michael's Genuine has been a visit to Miami for years. Our last visit led to a bad service experience and honestly we did not think we would return. We did and although the food was great, the service was terrible. We often have large fine restaurants and service was always important. Our reservation was 8 and we were not placed until 20:40. If drinks do not appear for a long time, water will not be filled and your waiter spend most of his time with colleagues you know your in trouble. After waiting for 45 minutes between appetizers and our main course, we finally complained to the waiter who told us that WE took too long to order and our decisions (two very expensive items) took much longer...
