"This diner in Fort Greene is a solid choice for a budget-friendly meal. There's often a line outside, but the wait is typically only about 10 to 15 minutes. I recommend arriving before 10 am to avoid any queues. The food isn't anything extraordinary, but most dishes are priced around $10 or less, and the service is excellent, plus they offer bottomless coffee. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a lively local diner. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit, but there's no need to go out of your way to get here."

What can I say about Mike's? What you see is what you get. No nonsense Brooklyn diner. Plenty of OK food for a fair price with a bottomless coffee to help with the cost.

This diner is an endangered species around the city: no-nonsense breakfast and service with quick turn-around. Their breakfast sausages are huge and delicious, and the coffee is basic in the best way possible. You won't get a gourmet experience, but the value cannot be beat for this taste of old New York.Food: 4/5

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
