"Ambiance 10/10 Drinks 7/10 Food 5/10 Service -100/10 I enjoyed sushi and cuisine here with one of my friends, and decided to return because I enjoyed my meal and ambiance. After returning the second time i can tell you confidently they will NEVER get my money again. I ordered a Mito roll which is typically well prepared. This time around I was in for a literal rude awakening. The shrimp tempura in my roll was soggy and the casing was the equivalent to wrinkles on your skin. After confirming with my friends and having them try, they agreed that the meal was badly prepared. I contacted 3 waiters AND the manager. Noone could offer a fix or solution for my failed meal and money. They refused to recreate the roll, refused to discount the price of the roll. Their suggestion was for me to scrape the kani and lobster salad from ontop of my roll and eat it with shrimp tempura separately. Terrible customer service, terrible management. If you want to feel valued and secure in your dining experience, this is not the place for you"

My first time at mito and I couldn’t have been happier with the food and service. The whole vibe of this place is amazing too! I give Mito a 10/10 for sure!

I absolutely adore Forest Hills Mito! I have been visiting this location for a few years now. I am thrilled that they have brought back their happy hour specials.

I went there for a birthday brunch with two friends. The food wasn’t nothing extraordinary, just average. The atmosphere was great and peaceful. Would I go there again? Absolutely not, it was just a one-time occasion.

This has become our regular spot! The happy hour (3-6p) is amazing, the special sushi rolls are delicious (golden state is my favorite), the drinks are strong and the service is amazing. Everything is consistent. They get five stars all around. View menu

Very intricate interior. Beautifully decorated. Distinct from other sushi restaurants in the sense that their rolls (or at least the ones I ordered) were 1. Mostly fish 2. Not slathered in mayonnaise and eel sauce. Very pleased with the food here.

Great asian fusion restaurant in forest hills! The highlights were the crispy mashed potatoes, ultimate torro roll and the susi sashimi variation. The fish were all extremely fresh and the torro melts in your mouth. Their new yuzu lemon drop shots are delicious and a must get!

The restaurant had a lovely interior design and a peaceful atmosphere. However, the food did not live up to its price. We had to request water, and the soy sauce jar they provided was empty. When I asked for sauce, the waiter took it away, claiming they were cleaning up. Overall, I was not satisfied with the experience. View menu

We had a fantastic time at this restaurant. We finished all the food we ordered and loved the dim, peaceful ambience. Despite being a Friday night, it wasn't busy and the waitstaff was very attentive to us. I had an eel and avocado roll and a spicy margarita. We also split a kani salad and spicy edamame. Every dish we tried was truly delicious.

Very nice Japanese restaurant looks very fancy inside food is ok nothing special regular plain sushi. Problem I have that with my ramen they give spoon that was broken with very sharp edge you actually can cut your mouth with it and it was very hot outside and seating they have is very outdated and all broken so it’s very an comfortable to sit on. Staff should be a little more alert for customers need.size of sushi just super small

"We came, we saw, and we indulged in all-you-can-eat Thai, something I never knew I needed until I was handed an iPad full of options. Now, I can’t imagine settling for just one order of Kung Chae Nampla ever again—*tears over sashimi*. Honestly, for a city and country obsessed with Thai cuisine, you'd think Na Rath would be a staple in New York. Then again, if it were, the $52 per person for a two-hour dining window might not be so special. While some dishes are restricted or limited to one order, about 80% of the menu is open for repeats. Here’s a quick rundown of what we tried: - Wing Zaab: Perfectly crispy and seasoned with spice, fish sauce, rice powder, shallots, and coriander. - Som Tum Tad: Just okay, lacking enough papaya. - Raw Spicy Shrimp: Fresh, spicy, and best of all... unlimited. I still prefer Somtum Der’s, but I won’t lie—I ate at least three plates myself. - Raw Oyster Salad: While it doesn’t beat Chalong Thai’s, it’s still a solid contender. - Crispy Catfish with Mango Salad: Mostly crispy batter and mango, very little fish, but tasty nonetheless. - Tom Yum Kung (Clear): Warm and refreshing, perfect for chilly nights. - Steamed Red Tilapia with Lime and Garlic: Tender and flavorful. - Duck with Kaeng Phed: Rich, hearty, with perfectly cooked meat. - Stir Fried Squid with Egg Yolk: Not my favorite since I’m not an egg yolk fan, but those who love it enjoyed it. - Crab Meat Thai Omelette: Lacked enough crab. - Crab Fried Rice: Fluffy and savory, but didn’t have enough crab. - Kana Moo Grob: Only a couple of pork pieces, though cooked well. - Phak Boong Fai Daeng: Expertly done—perfect balance between tender and crispy for morning glory. - Shrimp Cake: Great batter and shrimp filling. - Crab Roll: Probably the worst dish—barely any crab meat and very little flavor. - Pad See Ew: For those in your group who prefer something simple and familiar, it’s exactly what you expect. - Mango Sticky Rice: Unfortunately terrible; the sticky rice wasn’t thawed properly and was impossible to eat. The mango was juicy and sweet, but without the rice, it felt like just eating fruit on grains. - Taro Custard: A unique mix of starchy cream topped with fried onions—an odd flavor combo that might appeal to some but wasn’t my favorite. Service was solid, and the atmosphere comfortable. Price per person: $50–100 Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Highly recommended dishes: Chicken Wings and Raw Oyster Salad."
