"Okay first of all, anyone who gave this place less than 5 stars probably puts ketchup on their steak. With that said, this food is literally top notch. It's incredible. I get the chicken tikka masala everytime with the chicken Tikka Naan, delicious is not even enough to describe this food. And I normally always have to order it from grubhub, and it still comes hot and delicious. I would love to try it fresh someday. I have had a phone conversation with the owner when ordering, and he is extremely polite and just seems like an awesome person. He helped describe things to me, didn't rush me and made sure I knew all about the food I was ordering. Top notch guy and top notch food. Eat here. Oh, and if the price kinda throws you off just know that the portion sizes are massive. If you look at the photo I posted you will understand. This is more than enough for 2 people."

"After one on a Thursday the parking lot was full. So too the restaurant, most likely with regulars. The reception and the wait staff are cheerful and efficient. The menu is very extensive. As is often the case in more informal restaurants and diners owned by Greek families, the Greek portion of the menu is quite small, the rest of the menu filled with Italian-American and American dishes. I ordered the moussaka, an iconic Greek dish I am fond of, and it came with a larger than side Greek salad. Frankly,both dishes looked better than they tasted. Whether they were lighter versions or just bland is a matter of interpretation. The olives, feta cheese, meat filling of the main course, were all insipid. I'm glad I had both dishes many times before, both in the U.S. and Greece. These were far from exceptional. My wife and our friends had various salads and sandwiches and politely claimed they were satisfied. We all agreed that the dessert pies were delicious. It is a hard working crew and everything looked attractive on the plates. But, frankly, I am not in any hurry to return."

"NV is a lovely spot in New London for breakfast and lunch. Their extensive menu features a wide variety of grilled cheese sandwiches, smoothies, breakfast items, and much more. They also have a bakery offering delicious treats like baklava, cheesecake, carrot cake, cannolis, and cookies. The staff is friendly and manages to serve customers efficiently, even during busy times. I ordered the prosciutto and fig grilled cheese along with a pumpkin smoothie. My food arrived in just 15-20 minutes. The sandwich was incredible, though I found the smoothie lacked a strong pumpkin flavor and tasted more like walnuts. Overall, the meal was definitely worth the price. I especially enjoyed the small cup of tomato soup that comes with every grilled cheese. There is usually indoor seating available for small groups of 1-5 people, but larger groups may find it challenging, especially during busy periods."

"Keeping my old review up but adding a new one since the new owners took over. Love salad is still on point. Makes me sad to see the desserts are NOT homemade like They used to be. When I would pick up a love salad?I also would get two or three of their giant delicious home made cookies. Usually the oatmeal raisin, molasses a chocolate chip. The desserts now are are frozen defrosted. I know this because I work for a catering company we use several 9f the same items. The chocolate chip cookies they do have.Are the size of the palm in your hand and they charge you the same price that the old owners would charge for a giant one the size of a pancake. So now when I come I just get a love salad. Or the live salad grinder. And the staff they have working at the front counter young and dumb.Couldnt figure out change after they rang in and didnt include my change i was handing them along with the dollar bills. I had to tell them what they owed me $8) Staff behind counter work slow especially during lunch rush. They don't serm to cate that people have a job to get back to. The REAL DEAL Love Salad. Original recipe from Hughes Restaurant. Their soups and sandwiches are delicious. I always get the love salad. The tomato soup is delicious also. Their giant homemade cookies a must."

"Been a loyal customer for over a decade. Tonight I could no longer get 3 meats. I asked the order taker if there was some way I could order 3 meats of my choosing and he replied no they got rid of it. I was like ok I’ll downsize to 2 meats I guess if that’s my only option that allows me to pick my meats. This reason alone is why I will never return to Chester’s. I bought a cup for the sweet tea they always have and once again disappointed. I don’t know why they would take away any option for me to choose 3 meats. I tried and was literally told no option for that! I guess it’s time I break my loyalty of over a decade and try out the new smokehouse in Mystic. Also this visit was the first time that the cornbread wasn’t even edible! Bye Chester’s!!"
