"This charming and welcoming café is located right next to the harbor. They offer a modest selection of bagels and muffins, along with a wide variety of coffees and teas. It's just a short walk from the pier, and the staff is friendly and attentive, bringing a cheerful vibe even on a dry December afternoon. If you need Wi-Fi, just ask for the password. Overall, I find it to be an improvement over the Harbor Turbozone."

"The food at the restaurant was tasty, but the service was slow. It started off alright, but then became slower as time went on. The restaurant is considered one of the best in Kodiak. However, it is important to note that they do not accept American Express, which may be an issue for some business travelers. I am generous with tipping when using company funds, but not as much when using my own money unexpectedly."

"We travel to Kodiak almost yearly to fish. When we have time we go to King's for breakfast. This year they were as good as ever. I thik they were having the same staffing problems as everyone else but the food was still great. Easy...location and plenty of parking. I don't know what more to say other than we LOVE this place."

"The food overall is nothing great, pricey as other reviewers said but hey it's Alaska, things are imported. Husband had the fettuccine alfredo which looks and tasted more like warm pasta salad. I got the smoked salmon and eh again, nothing great. I'm not entirely sure what happened but our waitress went from checking us on how we're doing to basically ignoring us at the end. Every time we tried to get her attention she literally turned the other way. We had to play telephone by basically get another waitress to tell her that we would like the check. From their interaction, our waitress points at another couple while the other waitress points to us. When we got our check, we gave her our card and that took a long time as well."

"This is the one and only Starbucks in Kodiak, and I absolutely love it! I do miss my local Starbucks back home, where I could sit down and people-watch for hours, but Kodiak's Starbucks is truly unique. For instance, the baristas have the creative freedom to come up with their own signature drinks, like The Kodiak Fog, Berry Sweet Cold Brew, and the Avocado Drink. Another great feature of this location is that there’s never a long wait, which is a plus! However, I do wish they offered online ordering. You can find them inside Safeway on Mill Bay Road, and they’re open from 6 AM to 6 PM. The baristas are friendly, and the drinks are always spot on. While Kodiak has many coffee shops, I have to admit that I'm a Starbucks fan—there’s nothing quite like enjoying a Pumpkin Spice Latte in the fall. "
