"My daughter and I were in town for a choir competition and needed to find vegan food. I was a bit anxious since it's often challenging to find good vegan options in Wichita, where we live. We discovered The Burger Stand and noticed they had a black bean burger on their menu, so we decided to give it a try. I placed the order from the car since we were pressed for time, and it was ready in just 15 minutes. I have to say, this was the BEST vegan burger I’ve ever had. About halfway through, I told my daughter I would gladly drive 2.5 hours just to enjoy it again. The quality of the food is outstanding, and I consider myself a tough critic!"

"The appetizer chicken pokoros is basically roasted chicken stall, which tastes like Tandoori chicken. It was good, just a little dry. The chicken tiki masala was recommended by my waitress and it was absolutely delicious! Creamy, savory and seasoned well! Again, the chicken was kind of dry, but that also seems to be my experience with other Indian restaurants."

"Our dining experience was a bit unusual. We were seated without being offered water or attention from the staff. After requesting to be waited on, the server apologized and quickly brought us water, mentioning that they had forgotten to inform our assigned server about our table. Despite this rocky start, our server was attentive and even accommodated our request for a window table, although she warned us it might be noisier. However, we were surprised when asked to move to the new table ourselves, especially since we needed help carrying our belongings. It took a while for us to receive our alcoholic drinks, as our server disappeared after taking our order. Though we arrived early for our reservation, we did not get to order our food until later with a different server. While dining, we were not checked on, but one of the entrees was removed from the bill as compensation. Despite the service issues, the food was delicious, the drinks were good, and the ambiance was pleasant. We hope the restaurant can improve their service, as they have many positive aspects. We also enjoyed the historic newspaper wall decorations on the way to the restroom."
