""This is a respectable cocktail bar in Cambridge. It features some unique cocktails made with trendy techniques, such as butter gin. There are also a few beers available on tap. However, the bar tends to get quite crowded on Friday nights, which can lead to longer wait times or being overlooked for a bit. Additionally, there are overflow seating areas at the hotel outside of the bar. To address the owner: We understood that we needed to place our orders at the bar. The issue arose when members of my party who were at the bar had difficulty getting the bartender's attention. We noticed that the bartender was busy taking multiple orders and preparing drinks for about 15 minutes. I hope this helps clarify our experience.""

Decent bar in the Charles hotel. But I felt the drinks are a bit pricey for what it has to offer.

Refused to honor Yelp check in offer of $1.50 oysters. Waiter said we 're not affiliated with Yelp

Nice place, very active for a small lounge attached to a hotel, compared to other hotel bars I visited. Certainly a solid option to chat via drinks. View menu

We stopped by on our way to the airport. The service was friendly and responsive and the cocktails were out of this world. I look forward to my next visit.

Always love the cocktails here and fantastic service. Outdoor patio is comfy and has space heaters, complimentary blankets. Nice because it never feels crowded.

I usually have my doubts about hotel bars, but Noir has definitely proven me wrong. The beautiful terrace serves delicious food and even better drinks! The staff also has a fantastic sense of humor. It’s a must-visit spot in Cambridge! View menu

We decided to stop for drinks with a friend after having dinner nearby. We ordered an espresso martini and a White Russian. Unfortunately, the espresso martini was disappointing, as the coffee tasted stale. The White Russian was a better choice. The atmosphere was quite dark, and being a Friday night, the place was mostly empty. It would have had a much better vibe with more people and energy; as it was, it felt more like a sober lounge.

I was considerably underwhelmed. Noisy little place even when not very full. Very good service. Very mediocre food a cheese board of entirely uninteresting selection was served too cold, woefully ungarnished except for a plonk of overripe grapes, accompanied by overtoasted bread and insipid jam. Olives were strangely bitter. I felt like they got the concept but absolutely fell down on the execution of what ought to be extremely simple bar food. I wouldn't have thought much of it if it wasn't a hotel once famous for its excellent food.

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
