"We went to the afternoon tea for Thanksgiving. If you’ve been to the Empress, this location is nothing like that. The tea gets cold because there no candle warmer. The tea gets over steeped and bitter because there’s no tea timer or place to put the tea bag. They don’t bring fresh pots of tea, they only refill the bitter tea bags with more hot water. The food tasted a bit stale and you can see what you’re eating in the dark. The Thanksgiving offerings were not good. The food items are also not described (food runner doesn’t know what food is what). It’s loud and you’re in a dark room with a very low ceiling so it’s hard to talk. Honestly overall it wasn’t good and definitely not worth the value. It’s nothing like the experience that you get when you go to the Empress. Also no clotted cream?!"

Managed to get a last-minute reservation for tea and so glad that I did! The scones with clotted cream did not disappoint and savories bites were my favorite. The tea featured autumnal flavors now and there were definitely some amazing taste treats. Service was excellent and the decorations were beautiful! View menu

Great location and dining room for a high-tea experience. Room was really well decorated with an Autumn fall theme and every table booked so had a good ambience. Despite being busy the service was great all round from start to finish. The food was also great although for us some more savory over sweet would have been preferred. We were so full we boxed up some sweet treats to take home. Great experience all round, recommended

Food and drinks were delicious. Our server was lovely and very helpful. The issue came from being seated 5 10 minutes late and 10 minutes before the 90 minute cut off they came around with boxes and said everyone had to leave in 10 minutes. This led to everyone rushing to pack up their boxes and pay in a full dining room and felt very rushed and being kicked out. This was not the servers fault and they were trying their best to have everyone pay, help them pack up and turn around the room in 25 minutes before the next seating. It was disappointing end to a lovely tea and unfair on staff and customers to put such a quick turnaround and no earlier warnings.
