"New Years Eve dinner. Food was excellent. Only reservation was at 9, however we were attended to quickly. The room could have been a bit brighter however gave ambience. Staff was friendly and attentive. My MahiMahi was unbelievable and my husbands steak very good. Our friends dinners were also delicious. Of course we will be back"

"We dropped in for an unhurried dinner after arriving in town after a long day in the car. Osteria Cicchetti is n accessible large, central storefront in an upscale strip mall. We were promptly seated, the staff were all pleasant people; we had an enthusiastic young waitress and plenty of wait staff. We were seated in the huge main room with a view of kitchen. There is also a big side room plus a large and loud bar area. The atmosphere is lively with limited lighting. They offer a full wine list, the appetizers and menu are nearly exhaustive and Italian this is a place to languish with friends, although costs add up. Our drinks, calamari, and the veal and fish entrees were very good and service was attentive. We had no complaints. We are still in the exploratory stages of our move to near Wilmington, so everything is a new experiment. We had a bit more travel after the meal, so we limited our time, alcohol and food volumes. However, recycling back to Osteria is quite likely."

"I wanted to line Waterman 's Brewing which has a laidback beachy ambience. I ordered from the from the Sea section of the menu since it is in a beach community. I ordered the fish and chips. Hmm. I got the batter and chips, hardly any fish we 're sacrificed in the making of this meal. So I couldn 't blame the batter for not bonding since the fish clearly has issues. The batter 's only option was to sop up copious amounts of oil like unrequited love. The French fries were very, very salty and the Brussels Sprout Cole slaw tasted like a spoonful of grainy brown mustard with a slaw. Inedible. I love a good slaw and this rounded out the full plate of from the Sea of disappointment section. My wife had the salmon BLT with a salad. Her salmon was definitely present although no locally sourced. NC right! She made a better life choice than me and was satisfied. Hence the 2 stars. Waterman 's was a washout."

"the service was very inattentive. had to look for our service several times. the timing of the appetizers/seats was bad. ordered a coffee and it was forgotten, and when it came, it was cold. when our dinner came, all our sides were cold and showed our eating sat for some time before delivery. the fried, where stale and cold. they were very good. the steak and frying plate was a good value for the money, but the bone in the rib eye 75 was not very juicy. the bath given with it was very bitter and did not really go well with the steak thought it was such a jus, but it was a vinegar-based bath. with the conclusion of port city chop house I had really hoped that this could be our way to steakhouse in the wrightsville beach area. this visit could not reach this goal."
