"Stuck in Mickey-land for a convention, a group of us were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Oscar's at the Waldorf sounded like what we wanted and off we went. Although I'm not a lover of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual, including a smoked salmon bar, prosciutto bar and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of family's with kids, so it was a bit noisy, but that didn't really detract...everything the group of 4 tried, we loved. Only 2 things that were a little strange were that the cost of the buffet only included Mimosas, not **** Marys and there were no Eggs Benedict on the buffet??What impressed me most though was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar, it was empty, although two staff members I asked told me it would be restocked. When I mentioned it to our waiter, he came back and said they'd run out, which was disappointing. The manager came over an apologized, said they'd even sent over to the next door Hikton but they were out til Monday...not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate heaped with the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time....THAT is service."

We visited Oscar's for breakfast and had the buffet. The service was great; all staff member were very friendly and helpful. The coffee was really good and there was a juice bar with plenty of options. The food was really good and there were plenty of options.

Hostess seated us promptly. Breakfast choices are buffet or menu - we ordered off the menu. Healthy choices are noted on the menu and I had the avocado and poached egg on toast. The entree was delivered within 20 minutes and was served hot. The menu prices are commensurate with a Waldorf Astoria but a bit pricey for the Orlando area. View menu

The food is great at Oscar's and we enjoy frequenting for Brunch, and recommend it to everyone! However, please note that as policy they do not accept reservations - even if you're booking through OpenTable! Seating is based on a first come, first seated basis. Be aware that they will accept an online reservation, with no intention of honoring it if seating is full.

We had breakfast here this morning while staying at the Waldorf Astoria. The food was exceptional on the buffet with a wide variety of choices. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and sweet. It is my husband's birthday today. I mentioned it when I made reservations. This being a breakfast restaurant, I only expected them to wish my husband a happy birthday. They went above and beyond by bringing out a personal cake with a candle and the words "Happy Birthday" written on the plate in chocolate. What a treat! It is a bit pricey but it is worth every penny!

"Good food... just not great food. We went here on a recommendation from a friend. We are big fans of peel-n-eat shrimp so that was our main reason for coming here. We were seated immediately upon walking in the door. They have plenty of parking but it was late at night in January, so warmer times of the year they might be busier. Our drink order was taken right away but oddly we weren 't asked if we wanted to start off with anything as an appetizer. I had an iced tea (unsweet) and it was good but not very fresh. For an appetizer we had the spinach artichoke dip with chips. The dip is good and the chips are fresh. Just know, it 's big and could easily be enough for four people. As mentioned, we are big fans of peel-n-eat shrimp so we each had an order. The shrimp are big and are boiled in a Cajun seasoning and served over ice. It came to the table and the shrimp were still pretty warm. No lemons and no horseradish. The shrimp were undercooked. They should have been boiled just a bit longer and then immersed in ice water. And traditionally peel-n-eat are served with lemon wedges and horseradish with the cocktail sauce. For the meal we ordered a Caesar salad and grilled Mahi with baked potato and grilled asparagus. My friend had a few bites of the salad and stopped eating. The lettuce was old and there seemed to be an abundance of the dressing making it just a soggy mess. The Mahi was okay, but not fresh. The potato was very good (loaded) and the grilled asparagus was great. To top off the meal, we shared a slice of Turtle Cheesecake. The cheesecake was good but I 'm pretty sure they do not bake it. So, overall the meal was good and we would go back to try some other items. If they had only cooked the shrimp a little more it would have been perfect. Seems like a fun place and nice people."
