"The dining experience was decent but quite pricey. My wife had the fish and chips, which were good, but I was taken aback that they didn’t provide any vinegar. My clam chowder came in a rather small bowl. Our waitress didn’t refill our water until the very end of our meal, and the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. While they suggest a 20% tip, I don’t feel it was warranted. It seems that the emphasis is more on presentation than on the quality of the food."

"Excellent bakery well worth going out of your way, if necessary, to try some of their delights. Very good savory croissant filled with goat cheese and prosciutto... And just a touch of herbs or spices. This gentle touch with flavors extends acrosstheir sweet pastries too. Their cinnamon rose is the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. Not cloyingly sweet, light pastry and atouch of something different clove? Also enjoyed their fruit filled items like the bubbly pie and celestial snail. No onetaste overwhelms....all show a great balance of flavors that makes their pastry memorable."

"It's very convenient for us as locals to get that morning cup of coffee before work . Great service and friendly staff that are both knowledgeable and helpful . It does occasionally get backed up and take a long time to get your order . However this is simply because they are good at it and have attracted a strong and loyal customer base ."

"Had a house cocktail, the salmon entree and a dessert. High marks for my food and drink. The salmon was cooked perfectly... like melt in your mouth good. Each piece of the meal made sense and was delicious. It was a good portion of food and I was definitely full at the end. My partner had the halibut fish and chips. He felt it was nothing special, comparable to the chain restaurant Mo's version and therefore seemed overpriced for what you got. The service was okay. I had pretty much eaten most of my salmon before I was asked how everything was. Fortunately it was amazing otherwise I would have been waiting quite awhile to fix anything. Had to wait long time for help, never asked if I wanted another cocktail, and had to flag down the server for the tab after finishing our dessert. Server in next station was rocking it so it really highlighted our lack of attentive service."

"I can't comment much on the food since we never got to eat there. I do want to mention that the online menu is misleading, as they currently only offer five items. The restaurant appeared clean, but the service was lacking. I had to introduce myself to the server/bar attendant because we were largely ignored, despite the fact that it was clear they noticed us walk in and the restaurant was quite empty. The server only spoke to us when she saw a child with us and mentioned that kids weren't allowed inside. She promised to come outside to take our orders, but that never happened, even after I went back inside to take a picture of the menu, since there were no menus available for us to look at outside."

"I'm sad about my latest experience with the Drift. On a Wednesday breakfast hour, when I ordered the Pacific Northwest Scramble (which I've had before) the plate was so overloaded with grease that the top of the food actually shined. Even my spouse's food looked better than the oily mess that was on my plate. When I went to mention it to the waitress, she spoke so fast and was in such a hurry to move on to the next table that I could not get a word in edgewise. So, I said nothing, gave no extra tip, packed up the food in a box for the dog, and went home. I'm sorry, Drift Inn, but you may have lost me forever after one very very bad meal. I can't risk doing that to my digestion system again."
