"Great for cheap sushi. On par with and in some ways even better than Masa (which isn't as good now anyway since the owners retired). Some stuff was good. Some stuff was fine but didn't taste as expected. Very little was bad.Best things were the plain salmon and salmon belly, hamachi and hamachi belly, kurodai, aji, walu (escolar). Would come back just for these.California hand roll and spicy tuna gunkan nigiri sat for too long before serving and so the nori in both were a little sad by the time they got to the table. It was nice that the Cali had real crab as I detest surimi/krab.Yellowfin tuna was a little sad, and already sauced, which sushi chefs don't do unless the fish is starting to go south. I'm just spoiled by bluefin akami.Spicy tuna was very mild. YMMV as to whether that's good or bad.Red snapper (tai), saba, unagi were all just meh. Tai weirdly was torched even though it didn't say it would be in the description. Saba wasn't the gamiest or oiliest ever but wasn't the best either. Unagi was lukewarm.Cooked scallop was the only really bad item. Didn't taste fresh. Also didn't taste cooked. Had the skirts on which is common in Asian cuisine but not for most Western palates.Seared and smoked salmon were both meh. Smoked didn't taste smoked. Both just tasted like butane from the searing torch.Miso soup tasted like fish broth. Seaweed weirdly had large hard knots in them.Ankimo too mushy texture, ponzu not ponzu enough, weirdly had sriracha on it.Chicken karaage texture was also soft, and unexpectedly was drizzled with tonkatsu sauce, which didn't taste bad but wasn't what I wantedUdon too soft, and the broth was weird. Also had those way too hard pieces of seaweed.Tea was only 25 cents with free refills! The tablet ordering system is convenient but the UI and responsiveness need some tweaks."

The food was delicious and the service was quick. Having tablets at each table for ordering made the process simple, and the menu with pictures was a nice touch. I would rate the food 5 out of 5.

The sushi rolls, nigiri and sashimi I got at this place were quite underwhelming compared to the other nice places for sushi in the Bay area. The prices are deceivingly low for the small pieces they provide and the entire meal costed $50 per head.Food: 3/5

I give this Sushi bar 3 stars. Don't get me wrong, it isn't that bad, those sushi are not expensive, what you paid is what you will get. But they turn off most of the lights, it is very difficult to read the menu. I would say the sushi is about B-, it is still worth to try because it is not expensiveFood: 3/5

Ordering and paying ended up feeling complicated on the screen thing, the waitress was super nice and helpful thankfully! The takoyaki I ordered tasted like they put BBQ sauce on it and cooked it in the microwave, that was kinda disappointing. The regular rolls were decent at least, so that was good.Food: 4/5 View menu

The cost of your meal can quickly add up when ordering individual items. However, the slices of fish were quite substantial. The food did take a bit longer to arrive due to the high number of diners, but the service was generally good. Despite the presence of flies in the restaurant, they did not seem to be interested in bothering the food. Parking: The restaurant does not have its own parking lot, but there is limited street parking available or a public lot across the street.

I adore this restaurant. Every time we travel through San Francisco, we make sure to stop here after getting off the plane. The food is delicious and surprisingly affordable. I was hesitant about the tablet ordering system at first, but it works perfectly here. The focus is clearly on the amazing food they serve. My favorite roll is the snow demon - it's so good that I dream about it and can't stop thinking about it for days after I eat it. I'm glad we don't live closer because I would spend all my money here. The staff is always friendly and sweet. I really love this place - I can't say it enough, I LOVE it!

"Curry Hyuga had long been on my culinary radar, and today, I finally had the chance to experience it. The occasion arose as I needed to pick up my partner at SFO later, and given the mere 10-minute drive from the restaurant to the airport, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to satiate my appetite and make the most of my time, rather than aimlessly circling around the airport. Conveniently, there are numerous public parking lots scattered throughout the town. The restaurant opens its doors at 11:30 am, and I arrived promptly at 11:25 am, only to find a queue already forming outside, as depicted in the photo. The attentive server, Yuki promptly greeted each customer and kept my water glasses filled, setting a positive tone for the dining experience.Opting for their Signature Curry Rice Entree, which features their caramelized onion curry accompanied by shredded cabbage, creamy potato salad, and Fukujin pickles, I decided to elevate my meal by adding Chicken Cutlet Katsu Curry with Chicken Karaage as additional toppings. To my amazement, my order was delivered to my table in a mere 3 minutes, which left me thoroughly impressed. Curry Hyuga's standout feature is their incredibly tender meat, perfectly complemented by their mouthwatering curry—a true masterpiece with Kanazawa-style sweetness and richness that sets it apart. To further customize your dish, they offer a selection of five different spices: Ichimi Togarashi, Jalapeno Pepper, Pequin Pepper, Wiri Wiri Pepper, and Orange Habanero. I had the pleasure of sampling all of them, and personally, I found the Wiri Wiri Pepper and Orange Habanero powder to be standout choices. Their spiciness elevated the curry to a whole new level, complemented by the unique fragrance of the peppers."
