"I rode the park and ride today to work. I? stopped at Pappa?s barbecue on 1960 and Cali Drive. The drive-through light said they were Open. The first door that I went to was locked. I was Able to get into the restaurant from the side door. When Ientered I observed At least seven people working, all of whom looked up at me but did not acknowledge me. Finally a Caucasianolder gentleman asked me if I had been helped and I responded no. He came over to tell me that the restaurant was not open thatI needed to go to the drive-through. I told him that I was not in a car. He called over a Hispanic female manager and they toldme they could not help me if I was not in a car. I walked around to the drive-through and demanded that she take my order. Thefemale manager said no and I told her that because they ignored me initially she was going to take my order or I would call thecorporate office. She took my order but she had an attitude! It cost NOTHING to be nice and to provide great customer service. It cost NOTHING to provide great customer service with a smile. The service that I received today was not up to Pappa?s standards. I got off the bus specifically to stop here for breakfast because I missed the stop for Chick Fil A. How was Isupposed to know that you could not walk in to place an order for breakfast?! Do better! You could learn a thing or two from theDowntown location. I ate there yesterday and received great service with a smile and the food was yummy! I asked for a briskettaco with potatoes and cheese NO EGG??????"

Tasty and consistent flavors. You can't miss with this place. Also they have great specials everyday almost. Love their fried fish which happens around Lent.

Got the combo dish and was disappointed. My rib was a fat bone as thick as my two fingers with sauce. No meat. It should have never went out. Who doing quality checks? But, last time I went food was good and no problems.

Great salad, and my niece loved her loaded potato. Service was a bit slow to order because no one was waiting behind the line to take our order and it was not packed at all. I love the food here, though, so I know I will be back.Food: 5/5

I carpooled with my coworkers and enjoyed a chopped brisket sandwich for lunch. They have excellent sides to choose from plus beer. I've been here before and I like the positive attitude and the warm welcome when I step inside. The whole place looksclean, even the bathroom smells good. View menu

I ordered fries and did not receive a full order. I asked if the amount provided was a full order and was told yes. I have been here before and received a full cup also when I go all over Houston and stop at papas bbq I always get a full cup of fries. Or at least more than this. Very disappointed!

It's a hit or miss with Pappas BBQ...after a long day at work I had to post my ribs!!! And yes they are pork. Sides are Macaroni and Cheese and Yams which are pretty good. Disclaimer the yams have onions in it...but they are caramelized and still sweet!! Just try it!!Parking: Spots are reserved for online ordersWheelchair accessibility: Yes they have a ramp

I typically head to my usual spot, Burns BBQ, but I decided to try this place instead for July 4th. I ordered the rib and sausage plate with macaroni salad and beans, while my son had ribs and brisket with rice and beans. I must say, I was not disappointed! The ribs were incredibly tender, and the brisket was also quite tasty. Everything was fresh, and I have no complaints at all! View menu

Couldn't wait to come... (it's been 10 years). Moderately good food, but perhaps some of the experience was lost due to it being barely warm. The ribs were extremely tough, and the sausage was less then desirable. The brisket was the best, although again, it was not hot. Three BBQ sauce choices (many good BBQ places have up to 6 or more)... and in spite of being decently flavored, it was just a bit thicker than water. (Barely.)Finally, attracted by signage, I tried the pecan pie. Although not a bad taste, it was soupy, runny, and not a thick pecan pie.

Talk about DISAPPOINTMENTFM 1960 location by 45 is far most the worst location and customer service sucksNot only do I not live by this location there was a line wrapped and waiting longer than expected. I ordered the pork rib plate that comes with 4ribs and 2 sides instead I received these 3 small dry up ribs with no meat and with a scoop of brisket that I didn’t ask for and hard as hell, I drive all the way home to see this UNACCEPTABLE meal, I called and spoke to a mgr named Ingrid and informed her of my concern and repeatedly asked her if I can send her a picture of my plate by email, and she refused and instead of refunding me bc I wasn’t driving all the way back there for a replacement...
