"Great BBQ place. There have 2 locations. I have never tried the other one, but have been to this one more than once. I was told “this” was the location to go to for the best experience. Although the sliced brisket was a bit drier than I like, it was still good, and everything else was as well. What you see on the plate is Battered fries, baked beans, Mac n cheese, brisket, pulled pork, and a large rib. Toast of course as well. It’s an old school set up with phones at the tables, although they do have wait staff. They also have very good (I assume home made) large cookies. These are well worth taking home if your BBQ filled you up. Outdoor patio is a nice place to eat on a decent day as well."

So good! Great brisque, pork and sides! Friendly staff! Thank you for the best food I've had so far on my 3 week road trip to the south! Great sauce too!

Better than average BBQ joint. Very casual atmosphere. The brisket had good flavor. Sides were fair. The chocolate fry pie was tasty although at almost $6, not a great deal.

During a road trip from Texas to Missouri, we decided to stop for lunch at this restaurant. Being from an area known for having some of the best BBQ in the country, we are quite selective and accustomed to high-quality food. View menu

The salad was excellent and the service was fast! I gave it four stars instead of five because the beer selection was limited. I would still recommend this place. You can even order ahead and pick up your food in line. The staff is friendly.

This restaurant offers delicious Southern comfort food and is a fantastic lunch spot with friendly servers. The fried pickles are the best I've ever had! I did take off one star due to the bathroom situation, as there is only one restroom for both men and women, which can be a bit inconvenient.

What a fantastic little BBQ spot! They did an amazing job accommodating our daughter, who has a gluten allergy. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we’ll definitely make this a regular stop whenever we visit Arkansas! I also loved the southern-style BBQ sauce—so delicious! My wife absolutely adored the fried pie too! View menu

1/2 lb cheeseburger was cooked perfectly! Onion rings are coated with tempura batter, large and not greasy. The 2 meat dinner (brisket and pulled pork) was spot on! Perfect, tender and generous portions. If you're a fried okra person, you'll love them at Penguin Ed's B&B. Cream Ale is refreshing and smooth. Effective, friendly service. Relaxing and chilled atmosphere, with great blues playing, is what you'd want in a BBQ joint! If you're looking for yummy, filling food, Ed's is your place!

My parents absolutely adore Penguin Ed's. I do really love it and have grown up eating it many times. The meat is always cooked really well and their BBQ sauces are excellent. I do think their portions on mac and cheese are really leaving a lot to be desired, especially since it's so tasty. Their ocra, french fries, and onion rings at this location are just incredibly oily and difficult to stomach. I understand though that their typical client loves oil and those things, but I would consider not getting two of those as your sides and instead just getting one if your stomach can handle the amount of oil.
