"I have been buying pies from Perkins? restaurants for years?and I swear by them. They aren?t ?cheap?, but the flavor and the tender caramel-apple crumb pie is worth every cent to me; try one and I?m absolutely positive you?ll agree, wholeheartedly!! I usually buy my pies from 2 restaurant/bakeries?the one at Cedar Crest and Hamilton, and the other on South Lehigh Street, both in Allentown. Last week I found myself on Rte 191 in Bethlehem, so I decided to purchase my pies for our Memorial Day family cookout there at the intersection of Rte 22. The pies smelled, and tasted as they should, the apples just slightly firmer than ?tender??the way they should be; not hard to chew at all and yet not mushy. All-in-all, everything seemed on par with the pies at my usual restaurants. So why then would I rate this restaurant only 1 star, you are probably asking yourself. The caramel on both pies was mostly ok, but there were large globs of it around the edges that had firmed up like rubber, impossible to chew through; it seemed like a cross between rubber and leather. [SEE PHOTO #1] That, in-itself, wasn?t favorable but was forgivable IMHO. But there was something far worse than the caramel plaguing these pies. Both had thin, pointy and sharp shards of plastic baked into the apple filling. The pieces ranged in size from about 1/4? to just over 3/8? in width and were very thin. [SEE PHOTO #2] At first, the attendees of the cookout who found the plastic in their pie, myself included, thought it to be part of the apple cores which have a similar color and texture?flexible yet solid and not chewable. I believe I swallowed one by accident, Not expecting anything but edible ingredients in the pie, but then another piece came to my fork. When I couldn?t chew it, I spit it out into a napkin so that I could look at it. Moments later I realized it was plastic, and brought it to the attention of the rest of the family. Two others had spit out pieces they thought were core onto their plates; closer inspection proved them to be the same plastic. I am a forgiving person by nature, but I am not ignorant. While I can forgive whatever caused this anomaly with these pies, I will not purchase pies from this restaurant/bakery again?strictly out of a sense of self-preservation and good health. I have had some unusual GI trouble since the cookout?I hope it clears itself up with some over-the-counter aids from the pharmacy. I don?t know where these plastic pieces could have come from, but they very well could have caused a very serious health emergency. Please, take this as a friendly heads-up to check your pie and chew thoroughly before swallowing if you chance buying one at this location at all. I would highly suggest keeping the pies away from children; had a small child swallowed a piece of that plastic, God only knows what might have happened. I am sorry for the bad review about this restaurant, but the safety of people"

Food was good and service was not bad. We went for dinner and it seemed to take a longer time for our meal to come out but once it did arrive it was all exactly what we ordered and good.

The service at Perkins on Nazareth Pike in Bethlehem is excellent. While the food is fairly standard at most Perkins locations, the service at this particular restaurant stands out for being both friendly and efficient. It has become our favorite among the chain restaurants, especially for breakfast.

I am not sure if their bakery items are frozen and then thawed, but they are delicious. The food we ordered today was also excellent. I used to live in a different area, and you can definitely taste the difference in flavor, which shows that the chef here can really cook. Unlike some other locations I have been to. Overall, I give the food a rating of 5 out of 5. View menu

This chain has not been the same for a long time. Once we were sat we waited for our server about 10 minutes, the manager that sat us didn?t offer us a beverage or let us know when to expect our server, so we just waited while a different server pasted us without as much as a glare in our direction to bus the table next to us. Our server Donna is a dinosaur of the trade, knowing the ins and outs of the business. She did her job well. Once we started placing our order we were informed that potato pancakes are no longer available, really?? Once our order was taken our food came out in a timely manner and it was good. All in all, not much to brag about here.

my man, daughter and I have been coming here for decades here in these decades only we liked two members of her waitress I am not sure what happens to the one, but the other I forget her name, I know it started with a j, but she had always made her makeup so beautiful that my first time she was in the oktober 2021 and my last was decided to go out. When we asked ourselves in the Make-up girl department, we were informed that she was no longer working there. we sat and ate, but I wanted to know what happened to her, my daughter asked one of the waitress what happened to the make-up girl that she told my daughter that the older manager had called her fat with glasses and gray white hairs that...

"We stopped here passing through for a quick bite on a road trip. I was going to write my first review for this spot but like always I said Naaaaah . Well this spot was so freaking good that we had to figure out how to use Google timeliness to figure out where we were so we could go back!!! Now I 'm deffinetly writing the review because Jeeeeez. Out of all the little ma and pa places on the side of the road. This is the BEST me and my husband has ever had. It even outbeats our childhood fav roadside stops! All I got was a freaking cheeseburger and somehow it was the best cheeseburger ever? We always say to eachother it 's not that hard to season cheap food and make it taste good and I will say this is THE FIRST time we found a place that did that. Seriously. My husband is THE PICKIEST person and most judgemental about food and he said It was the best buffalo chicken cheesesteak ever. He always orders the same things everywhere he goes, so he goes really hard when reviewing a meal and comparing it to a different spot. For him to say it was the best he 's had is a huge deal! Not that we 're like the best food critics but we like seasoning which is somehow hard to find these days? Even expensive stuff is underseasoned and bland doesn 't make sense. Anyway- first review I 've written because we HAVE TO REMEMBER THIS SPOT!!! THIS IS THE SPOT TO GO!! We are currently on our way back to get more "
