"Seriously our meal was so bad my teenage son wouldn't eat it. Pancakes burned on the bottom, hash browns were cold and not throughly cooked. Sausage links were burnt to a crisp on one side uncooked on the other. I survived a week in survival training and had a better meal. My fresh fruit had rotten grapes. NOW with that said the staff was awesome. The waitress was friendly and very good at her job. The Manager was awesome he went above and beyond. I refused a free meal and paid for what we did eat. The place was clean with a pleasant atmosphere. I rarely eat breakfast out and this didn't make me want to again. However, we all have an off day now and then so someday if the need to eat out comes up I would not hesitate to give them 1 more chance to redeem themselves."

I remember Perkins being a great place to grab dinner. A nice diner type setting, great staff, reasonable prices, but good food. This visit it was not any of those things. The staff were the best part of the visit, not overall it had declined over the years. I remember why I don't frequent it any longer. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

Our waitress was nice but I'm assuming the manager Mary was very unpleasant rude and inconsiderate. Complaining about a family of disabled people. Also stating how she could make more money at sheetz(80k)than perkins(50k). Also boasting about how she's the greatest person and best worker at the restaurant. She kept slamming menus down behind my girlfriend at the check in desk. In reality she is not the greatest worker nor should she be working in any customer based establishment. Hopefully the owners terminate her quickly. Don't know if we'll be back until she is gone.

"I feel so bad even leaving this review, and I want to preface this by saying that it is not the fault of the waitstaff. There seemed to be a shortage of kitchen staff. We wanted to try a new restaurant in the area and took my parents out for their 40th anniversary. We had a reservation for 6:00 pm and we were seated promptly. We had a group of 5 that ordered a few appetizers, two burgers with fries, and 2 entrees. It took about 45 minutes for appetizers (deep fried basic food including wings and onion rings) to come out to the table. After being seated at 6 we waited until about 7:40 for entrees to come out. It came out plate by plate, but had to ask for silverware and waited about 25 minutes to see the waitress/the bartender to get it. By the time we got to eat the food, some was cold, but the food that had just come out was hot. Overall, the food tasted fine nothing spectacular, but certainly not bad. Some parts of the order were a little wrong, no big deal. The waitress apologized multiple times, and on a $135 bill, they did discount it by $22, but truly, it should have been comped to a greater degree. Multiple patrons walked out because it took so long. We were one of 2 or 3 tables that stayed, although, I wish we had not to be honest. It takes the cake as the worst dining experience I have had thus far in my life, but I am glad we were surrounded by the company of family, and I am glad that the staff was kind."

"Of all the sub shops in the area, this is my favorite. The people who work here are helpful. The first time I went here a few years back, I customized a sub for my guy and he was floored with the amount of meat that was on it. The subs are already huge, so add a few more meats and this was a SUB!! I don't get to visit Meadville as frequently as I used to so it's been a while. I walked in and was greeted by the same outstanding customer service and pleasantly surprised that they had bubble tea, which was customizable and delicious (there was a decaf option with lemonade instead of black tea). My husband LOVED his sub (bacon club). I took a risk and ordered the lobster roll on brioche--the bun looked and tasted great. I ended up passing on the lobster because it wasn't the color that I am accustomed to from lobster (light pink instead of white). Definitely not a maine lobster roll or like the ones in NC. This was my error because when I saw the lobster being scooped out, right then I should have changed my order and kept that amazing brioche bun with other veggies. I'll definitely return because the food is really good and the portions are immense and the brioche is calling to me. The food also travels well without getting soggy. Service is expedient and the people are helpful. Side note--you may get two meals out of one sub. Deducted one star because of the lobster since I tried it and it tasted off; threw it away. I'm picky so there is that. The Whole Darn Thing is the best sandwich shop in the area!!! Stop and grab one to eat that day or into the next one because they keep well and taste just as good the next day!!"
