"I have been a long-time patron of this restaurant and they have always exceeded my expectations, except for tonight with the wings. This was my first time trying them and unfortunately they were comparable to the ones you can find in the deli section of a grocery store, topped with a small drizzle of buffalo sauce. However, the steak and cheese sandwich never disappoints and is always packed with delicious meat. Although it arrived a bit soggy due to delivery through Doordash, a quick fix in the air fryer made it perfect."

I'm from Philadelphia, and this is the only place where I go for my cheesesteaks!

The chicken cheesesteak was fantastic, but the onion rings were tough and greasy.

Best cheese steak in the dmv if your looking for a real philadelphia cheesesteak and I'm from the Philly area. Not one of the cheesesteak hoagies the pass off around here.

I eat here every single time I come to DC. Best Philly cheesesteaks you can get on the east coast without actually being in Philly. Always hot and delicious! Speedy service. I can't recommend them enough.

The best cheesesteak and fries in town! I arrived about 30 minutes before closing (my apologies), and they prepared my cheesesteak in under 15 minutes. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and delicious. It truly doesn't get better than this! View menu

My family and I always make a point to stop at this restaurant after sporting events! Pete and the staff are always welcoming and quick to serve. We always try to order a little bit of everything they offer - from cheese steaks, chicken hoagies, to pizza! It's a great spot to sit outside and enjoy your meal during the warmer months of Spring and Summer.

I was hesitant to try a Cheesesteak outside of Philly, but I can confidently say that this one comes pretty close without having to take a 2-hour train ride. It reminds me a lot of the ones you find at touristy spots. My only complaint is that the steak, while flavorful, has a texture more similar to ground beef than shaved ribeye. However, after trying many places in NoVa, I can say that this is the best one I've found. I've noticed that the texture of the steak can vary depending on who makes it.

"This place really helped me adjust. I later learned that people gravitate towards certain bars, and I found my favorites, especially those with live music like Birchmere, Black Cat, 9:30 Club, Lincoln, Capital One Arena, and even the now-closed O'Shaughnessy's and Rock & Roll Hotel. One of my most memorable experiences was running into Rory Sheridan on one of my first visits. He was launching his DC music campaign back then and was part of Loud Boyz. We chatted a few times, and I even caught up with some old classmates. Another highlight was when I heard about a “reunion” night before Thanksgiving, and I decided to crash it. There were moments where people could be unkind or I felt out of place, but I was given some guidance on where I would fit in better, without the unnecessary drama. Being in Old Town, I was familiar with nearby schools like West Potomac, Mount Vernon, and Bishop Ireton. During my visits, I would often take an Alexandria cab or use Metro Access, being discreet about my disability since I felt embarrassed at times. Being a regular meant navigating the tourist scene, and there were people who seemed territorial about the place, but I ended up doing quite well when I sold my house. Good times continued with events like watching RG3 play for the Redskins or meetups organized by JT. I enjoyed New Year’s celebrations and weekend outings. I also frequented other establishments like Flying Fish before it closed, and O'Shaughnessy's before I decided to stop drinking. This is a sports bar located near a bicycle shop, close to the Ben & Jerry's I used to work at, along with many other walkable bars for bar hopping, like Union Street Pub and Fish Market. It can be a great place to have fun, but with the good comes some downsides. Overall, I felt well-hosted and respected here, despite some things I was not initially aware of or didn’t want to uncover."

"My friends and I went to Cheesetique for restaurant week. We sat outside. The space was great, the weather was great. Upon arrival, it took a server about 15 minutes to come to our table, and that was only after a friend went inside to ask for someone to service us. The server who had served our friends, who had arrived 10 minutes prior, was bartending. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. The drinks came out relatively soon after. The food took a normal amount of time to come out of the kitchen. We got the watermelon, quinoa salad and truffle balls as apps. There was no dressing with the salad, just spinach leaves, watermelon, and quinoa. It was very basic. The truffle balls, although good, were balls of cheese. They gave huge cheese balls but only 3 tiny pieces of bread. We ordered a Mac and cheese for the table which was not salted very well at all. For the main course, we ordered gnocchi, pot pie, and braised beef. The beef and mashed potatoes were the best. The pot poe and gnocchi were not nearly salted enough. All the food came out 'warm ' at best. Dessert was fine. Overall, not at all worth the amount we paid for restaurant week. We were left disappointed. The service was slow. I do understand they might have been short staffed, but even waitresses who were not our servers looked as us, after being there for 15 min and walked past. We asked someone to get us water, which was never brought to us, so overall, disappointed in our dining experience, considering how much we paid."
