"I went here with family for my birthday dinner. Reservations were flexible thankfully, and we were quickly seated upon arrival. We got to order from the summer tasting menu which is a prefixed menu. The selections were great, and everything was really good. However after we ordered dinner, service began to slow down drastically. I noticed parties who had arrived after us, finishing up and leaving before us. Also the crispy beef was a little more crispy than it was beef. again the food was really … – show"

High end Chinese restaurant. I wasn’t impressed with the food.

One of my favorite restaurants to dine at in NYC. Everything from the service to the food and cocktails are always on point every time I visit. Highly recommended View menu

I ordered the pork dumplings, pork rolls and scallion pancakes. Totally underwhelmed. The pork dumplings were ok. The other food was all dough, no meat/scallions and quite dry. The sauces tasted like pure cornstarch. $51 for dough

You can never go wrong with Philippe Chow! Saturday nights are typically busy which is expected in NYC. Food and music were amazing as always. We ordered chicken dumplings, salt pepper shrimp, Chilean sea bass, broccoli, veggie spring rolls, kung pao chicken, veggie lo mein. Always down to eat at Philippe!

I love Philippe. I've been 30 times.. but the last time to the down town one 2 people got sick. I think it was the prawns. We ordered 2 ducks and they were just ok. Not to philipe standard. Hopefully the uptown one isn't declining like this one is but this experience was poor. Service was ok but we didn't recognize any familiar faces. They were working hard but prov didn't have good instructions. Stay away from this one and try the uptown one until they get this figured out. View menu

We went there on a Saturday night for a friends birthday. The place was pretty full. Originally they started off pumping house music a little to loud for my liking but then transitioned to smooth vibes. We got family portions and the food was very good. Some of the best Chinese food I had. Loved their brown sauce, chicken was great, dumplings great, I didn’t care for duck, steak was ok, the red velvet and chocolate cheesecake were phenomenal. Definitely would go back, solid experience.

Everything is great except for the food itself. This restaurant gives you literally exactly the same flavor you can get from any American Chinese take out. The only difference is that some dishes are made of high end ingradients. If you had any authentic Chinese food before, you'll know this is far from it. The attendants are very professional andattentive, kudos for them. The music was too loud, I can't chat with my friends at the same table. $300 for 4 people, with the quality of the chef, I … – show
