"I 'm not in Buffalo that often but when I am, this place is 100 percent on my must visit list. It 's a local treasure. The food is consistently fresh, and the menu is gigantic. They have wonderful lunch specials, too. There is a solid beer selection, the service is prompt and friendly. Can you tell I 'm gushing about a favorite spot yet? No joke, when I was hosting student representative interviews, I would always pick this spot because it was welcoming and not too overwhelming, but low-key selfishly I just wanted to eat here so I 'd always make the interviews at lunchtime (just so I could come back for one of their delicious pods). They 've got different doughs to choose from. Most of the time I pick whole wheat, but the spinach is also amazing depending on what you 're putting inside the pod. They have a huge list of options for toppings, and everything is fresh- not gross canned nonsense. They even have vegetarian meats if you 're into that kind of thing! My daughter got hooked on raisins on her pizza because they even had that listed as a possibility, just to show you how expansive this list is. Don 't judge- she 's little. As long as she eats it, I do NOT care. The pods are essentially calzones, folded pizzas? Just the perfect amount of sauce and cheese inside with your toppings. I always ask for an extra side of dipping sauce, which they happily provide for free.Speaking of kids, they often have little bags of salt dough for kids to make play dough pizza creations. This is amazing for when you want to just relax while they get creative. My kiddos even call this place the play doh pizza place. It 's a casual, fun, date-friendly, budget-friendly, family-friendly, Tuesday night hangout, meet-you-there kind of place that simply can 't be missed. Why aren 't you leaving to go there yet?"

I've gone here several times and like it. Lots of vegan options that are clearly marked! I always enjoy my meal and there's something for everyone in my family here. I've ordered the personal size vegan pizza and the pods with daiya cheese and veggies.

The deep dish here is the best example of Chicago style deep dish I've had outside of Chicagoland and it's not particularly close. 5 stars for that. I will complain and dock a star for using Johnny Ryan Cola; diet Johnny Ryan is actively offensive to tongues; please just get Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi like a normal place. To me that makes it a takeout only place, unfortunately.

Stopped in here today for lunch with my sister and was able to sit outside on the patio. It was a perfect summer day. The menu has great selections for all, including gluten free I am not . Ordered the parmachokes- omg delicious! Let me tell you the lobster nachos were pretty darn tasty as well. Our waitress was friendly and never kept us waiting. It was low key and relaxing. One of my favorite places. View menu

Had a great experience and dinner when I was here in August. I enjoyed a beer tasting (there were many to choose from), and a wingy dingy pod which was pretty good and filling too. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, and we ate outside which was nice but it is sorta loud being right on Transit Rd. Service was great our waitress checked on us frequently, and our food and drinks came out quickly. A big menu with lots of options for everyone, including vegan options! I would highly recommend.

Had a Saturday night dinner with hubby and another couple. No reservations, so a short wait for a table. Outstanding beer list as expected--server brought me a sample of a sour to try before I ordered a goblet of it. We had 3 pods at our table and my stuffed pizza with eggplant on top. Just an excellent pizza, plus had a piece left over for lunch the next day. Great crust and even better homemade sauce. The 3 pods were also very good and server brought extra sauce as requested. Very satisfying comfort food!

Some of the reviews here were correct when they were written years ago the soy cheese used to have casein. Now they use vegan cheese, and there are a lot of options available for vegans. Their specialty is the pizza pod, which is like a calzone, and you can get all sorts of fillings, like tofu, vegan sausage, and veggies. They have really good gazpacho, veggie burgers, veggie wings, veggie chili, salads, and usually have vegan desserts such as vegan cheesecake. It 's a great family friendly place with a huge craft beer selection for the adults. View menu

I chose the Transit location of Pizza Plant on a recent Friday night because the Main Street (Canalside) location closes at 8pm. Say what? So I headed out to Transit Road, determined to eat a pod and have a pint of beer. When I got there, there was a waiting list only 20 minutes and they text you with updates, so reasonable. We order two cold beers and they were great. There are more than 25 beers on tap here. It's amazing. We ordered a Veggie Try It pod and a Greek salad with a spinach breadbowl and creamy garlic dressing. Magnificent! I love this place and that the menu has hardly changed in 20 years. An iconic Buffalo joint. Don't miss it.

We traveled over 115 miles r/t to try this place. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. We liked the fun, loud atmosphere, and the staff was nice and courteous. I asked which crust the server liked better white or whole wheat. She recommended the whole wheat. So we ordered a large (17 vegan cheese with mock sausage. What arrived was more like a cracker crust nothing remotely resembling NY style pizza. The sausage was tasteless just chewy kinda nothing. The cheese was yummy, being they use Daiya. The sauce was mildly sweet. Overall, not impressed, especially for the price they consider the cheese and the sausage specialty items so total cost was over $30! So, disappointing food and expensive.....

"First things first i was thinking this morning breakfast is going to be delicious when I’ve seen a “family own” restaurant sign in the highway.I’m traveling with my granny and we were going back home to Chicago, so i know what you should expect from “family own” business.I wouldn’t say it was busy, but not empty. And they have only one waitress and one cooker (she doesn’t wear gloves and hat, seems very unprofessional). So whoever owns this place should hire more staff. The whole restaurant smells like burned oil.Starting from the drinks, they only had a coffee and OJ. It’s 10am. Well coffee was good, not gonna lie.But the rest… we were waiting for our steaks like 30-40min. And then another 10 min for forks and spoons (i walked to the kitchen area and asked “should i just stare at my food and smell it or eat it with my fingers). Well cooking woman was rude and said it’s not her responsibility. And waitress that i asked to bring it forgot about our existence (for a 3rd time). They didn’t have a half of sides, but it’s okay. Mashed potatoes are made of cheapest powder you can find in a dollar store. Green beans are in water or sum, they didn’t even defrost and wash them clearly. Steaks are cooked on the old oil and I believe at the same grill with a bacon. It was so thin and overcooked (i asked for medium) so it was not a steak, it was a piece of smoked bacon smelling rubber.Didn’t even eat the half of everything. So for two coffees and steaks 42$ and no tips.Sorry, i would leave any for waitress to her struggling, but even her was not nice.Better ate at McDonald’s across the street."
