"I went on a Wed @1p it was PACKED. Very loud. Very busy. Before going I didn’t realize that it was on the U of C campus. I ordered the grilled cheese, mushroom kale pot pie, a homemade chai. The latter 2 were m delicious. I would go again butavoid the busy student times. Also, parking sucks. There is absolutely nowhere to park. So good luck!"

The coffee and tea are good. Their space is always full though, so buy your drinks to go

The coffee and ambiance were fantastic. We ordered a beignet and received an extra one for free! However, they were somewhat dry and just average in taste.

This hidden gem on the University of Chicago campus is fantastic, located right next to a Frank Lloyd Wright house. I really enjoy the courtyard, and both the coffee and food are excellent. View menu

Breakfast was great. I'd prefer my eggs and ham warm, guess it's the style they make/serve it, next time I'll ask for it warmed up, but other than that great place, great hospitality and service!

We travel from Baltimore to Chicago every December and make a day of visiting this place for food and coffee before hanging out at the Seminary Co-op bookstore. Excellent coffee and great service.

Everything I've ever had here has been amazingly delicious; the coffee, pastries, lunch bowls. The atmosphere is inspired and overlooks the Robie House. Also, great art exhibits! All-around gem of a place. View menu

This lovely café at the University of Chicago is an ideal spot to grab a meal, enjoy a coffee, or unwind while catching up on some work. The food was outstanding, and they have a great variety of teas. It's truly a wonderful place!

This restaurant offers great coffee and delicious food and desserts. There are seating options both indoors and outdoors. However, it can get quite crowded, and the music is too loud for anyone who wants to study, work, or relax. I would return for the food and drinks, but not for the overall atmosphere.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
