Platea Prime Steakhouse Ceviche

The food was incredible. Tostones appetizers were super. I had the salmon it was very tasty. Service was prompt. Atmosphere was very nice with the lady singer and guitarist. The desert with the red rose was unbelievable! Highly recommended.

Pros: lots of parking. Food was incredible (get the steak! And Brussel sprouts were amazing! . Staff was attentive and very nice. This restaurant is run with great attention to decor, staff training, food quality, menu and wine list. It's not usual to find this level of fine dining in a strip mall, but this is an excellent restaurant that would compete with any establishment even in much more sophisticated locales. Overall experience was okay. I would not go again but for a romantic dinner maybe a possibility from someone else that overlooks cold food and as far as wine selection the server had to use there personal light from there phone to look for a bottle that at the end did not know if they had it or not. For what we paid to have a romantic dinner I would not recommend this place

The restaurant is quite overpriced for what it offers. The quality of the steak wasn’t the best, and they overdo it with the butter, which ends up masking any real flavor. On the plus side, the cocktails were good, the wagyu tostones appetizer was excellent, and the desserts were truly enjoyable. However, I was overall disappointed that the steaks lacked flavor. Given the price, there are many other fantastic steakhouses in Miami.

Not well staffed for Valentine's Day, our reservations for 8:15 and we were seated at 8:47, having available tables ready since we arrived at 8:20. After 15 minutes waiting finally the sommelier showed up and 5 minutes later manager showed up to take our drinks order, our waiter apologizing for the late respond took our order and disappear until the last entry. Honestly, I don't know how we could've had a better experience. This restaurant is such a gem, I'm so grateful we found it. Five all across-the-board! We started off with a ceviche, which was brilliant, the lomo saltado was DIVINE, when we bit into it our minds were BLOWN! Dessert. We had the chocolate cake, which was a beautiful presentation. Their service was excellent and the cherry on top was the live music, which they have every Thursday. The place was also beautifully decorated, easy to find and parking was a breeze. We will most definitely be back!

Meat quality was OK however my husband's bone in ribeye was very fatty. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly but extremely salty. Don't know if this is a Peruvian must. I could not eat it. The lobster tail I requested was upgraded to their house specialty $65!!! I wanted a simple lobster tail add-on with my filet. The wine was very good but the time we walked in it appeared to be in a disarray. No enough workers to clear tables. We waited almost 30 minutes and we had reservations! Overall very disappointed with this spot. We were really looking forward to a great neighborhood steakhouse but didn't meet our expectations.

The menu was straightforward, filled with tempting choices. Our server was friendly, and I appreciated that the sommelier came over immediately to share the specials for the evening. We began our meal with a tuna tartare, which was incredibly fresh and expertly prepared. The colors of the tuna were stunning, and I was so immersed in enjoying the delicious food that I forgot to take pictures! What I loved most about the tuna tartare, aside from its flavor, taste, and tenderness, was the sauce that accompanied it. I could eat that sauce every day!
