"Alaska is an expensive place and Skagway is no different; but when you go to a restaurant here, you at least hope you will get what you pay for. I think Olivia’s Bistro gives you just that. The halibut chowder (although at $18/bowl was more expensive than most we tried) was superb….a lot of halibut, and stand-up-spoon thick. I matched that up w a smoked salmon Caesar salad that was equally delicious…with a load of the best cuts of lettuce (not just a handful of partially wilted store bought greens), a wonderful home made dressing and a “school” of smoked salmon. The price was actually lower than any pre-made salad with a handful of chicken. Lastly my wife had “Bang bang” shrimp ….similar to the shrimp of the same name that Bonefish Grill made famous; BUT, this was made with 6 extra large battered shrimp in a very nice sauce. Again this appetizer (worthy of a meal) was priced very reasonably when compared to other app’s of much less quality. Overall, Olivia’s Bistro is a very very nice place…clean, attractive with great food worth the relatively reasonable prices. (NOTE: while we were there for a light late lunch, I can’t imagine the entrees wouldn’t be equally fantastic) You’ll feel like you struck Yukon gold with Olivia’s Bistro in the Skagway Inn."

"The food served by this restaurant is easily some of the best I've ever had. The artichoke dip is absolutely hands down the best I've had. It is so cheesy and delicious. The fried fish is so well done that I'm still shocked by it 2 months later. My husband went crazy for it and often tells people how it is perfectly fried and so amazing that it would even appeal to those who don't like seafood. The beer cheese soup is so delicious that I could just drink it. Their fries are cooked well and taste amazing. The onion rings are also just perfectly crispy and delicious. They offer several NA options for people who don't drink. I had one of the NA mixed drinks and really enjoyed it. Now......this place is very expensive. But in my opinion, it's worth it. I cannot wait to travel to Alaska again so I can hike all day then eat at Skagway Brewing."

"Came here after our train adventure and seems like everyone from the train did as well. I waited maybe 10 minutes to put our names on the list. The hostess I think her name was Courtney, was super nice just so busy. I didn't mind the wait because that's always a good sign to me. She said we should be seated in 20 minutes. It ended up being less than 15 minutes. We ordered the Alaskan Brewing Summer beer, halibut fish and chips, crab legs and crab bisque. Everything was delicious! It was the perfect spot for our group. We had another activity and the whole meal was done within an hour. Definitely worth the stop when you're in the area!"

"Place came highly recommended, so we gave it a shot. The way the local talked, we thought it was going to be a restaurant. We t was more of a covered picnic bench garden with an attached kitchen. You ordered your food and waited to be called for pick up. All of us enjoyed the meal except the menu is a bit limited. This made it tough as everyone wanted the crab bisque. At 4:30 , they were already out of the bisque. So, two people went for chicken tenders. I went for the averaged (aka expensive but seemed to be average for Alaska tourist areas) priced king crab legs and another person went for the oysters. I probably would have given it a 5 star but given they were out of bisque knowing several cruise ships were in town was a bit of a let down. With a limited menu and several items sold out, can’t fully rate it. Would return and give it another shot if I came back."

"We 're from Hawaii, and was on our 7day/7night Princess Cruise to Alaska. We took a side street to purchase liquids. We found a hidden gem called: Bites on Broadway. WOW!!! What a wonderful experience we had there. The owners were filled with the same Aloha Spirit that we are accustomed to here in Hawaii. The food was great, the desserts were incredible, but, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The conversation was authentic loving. Turns out, this was the BEST spot we experienced while off-shore. It is truly sad that the busses that take you around the city, will tell you that Star Bucks or some other watering hole is on the main street. But, the BEST watering hole is located at the end of town, hidden down a street. I 'm soooo glad we found Bites on Broadway even more elated to meet two great guys who are so authentic loving.
