"The hostess that worked on October 19 6:40 didn?t even record my reservation for October 22 6:30 for a party of 4. It was my daughters 21st birthday and she even told me that she will write a note recording her birthday. We get there and tell the gentleman that we are the party of 4 6:30 . He starts looking and tells me that he doesn?t see it . I asked him ? this is the only Skys restaurant here right ? He keeps looking then He tells me there is a reservation for a party of 12 6:30 . Then he tells me we have a table top for 4 at the bar , you can sit there . Im like ?No ? I called and a girl answered and took my reservation. He didn?t even try to make it happen instead he says . You can try other restaurants. So I?m wondering if they bumped my reservation for the party of 12. The guy didn?t even try to make room for us, especially when it?s their fault . He suggested Harry?s . What are the chances that they will have room for us when this restaurant is booked ? Obviously he wasn?t going to make it happen. We go across the street to Harry?s and told them what happened to us at Sky?s and they made it happened being that they were also booked. Go to Harry?s I totally RECOMMEND it . The food was so yummy and the service. The hostess that helped us was so generous and made my daughters 21st birthday night. My daughter was so happy. She even added a birthday sign on the table . Very nice staff ."

"I'm on an incredibly strict diet. Think vegan but with half the normal spices that makes food yummy. So, it's difficult to find restaurants that I can eat at. Ely's Ivy miraculously not only had food for me that was fantastic, but had food for my less restricted family would be willing to eat. I had the arugula salad and almost cried. It was so good. My sister had a die for pumpkin curry soup, my father tried a Camel ???? burger, and my uncle (the fussiest of all of us) had a Shepard pie. Everything was amazing. The server went above and beyond the call if duty for us. He was pleasant and sweet and even found out where the ???? meat came from without us asking. He was perfect for my little eccentric family. When I'm in Grand Forks again, I'm making a stop here for sure ????"

"I cannot express enough gratitude in words for the experience we got here. We barely get out of the house due to having a toddler, let alone get to celebrate us as much now. We booked Harry’s Steakhouse for our anniversary and they made us feel incredibly special and provided such a wonderful experience that it was just what we needed to take a moment to celebrate us. That was the most expensive steak I have ever purchased, but it was the best steak I have ever had in my life. The wine pairs perfectly with it. The food itself takes you to a whole new level and the service was so incredibly wonderful and welcoming. Hal himself visited us to make sure we were having a good time, which completely made the night even more special. All my friends talked about was how expensive it is and to expect spending around $200, and I think that made us wait longer to go there. Yes, it is easy to celebrate and spend that much, but looking at the menu, there are a lot of appetizer options, along with a burger option, that would make the bill more of a normal going out to eat price. I am excited to go there again and this is easily one of my favorite restaurants now. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Steak"

"My bartender, Taylor, was outstanding. I felt welcomed without feeling overwhelmed. The service, food, and atmosphere were all excellent for a local bar. The place was also exceptionally clean. I would recommend it over other spots like The Bun (which I enjoy). It’s nice and quiet, with no loud music or rowdy patrons."

"It 's strange to be writing a negative review of this bar as until last night, it was our default place to go eat and relax. This is an example of one very bad egg spoiling an entire experience. We 've been patrons of this bar since moving very close several months ago. The food is generally good and the drinks are up to standard. On January 3rd, late close to last call a long haired woman was working at the bar who we hadn 't seen before. She was judgmental and rude. She asked my partner if he wanted another drink. That 's her job. However, when he answered no, she unnecessarily commented 'good. ' He didn 't like this response so he changed his mind and ordered a beer. When he left, he clearly heard her calling him a 'pompous ass. ' He looked back but said nothing and left. Here 's the thing. In the service industry you meet nice people, boring people, and even nasty people. The nasty and disruptive people can be asked to leave. However, at no point are personal insults ever appropriate. As far as I perceived, he was pleasant and appropriate. Still, this gem that the management of this establishment chose to represent them felt she could be rude and insulting. In the hyper competitive restaurant/bar business, is this a recipe for success? I think not and can certainly use the few extra steps to go somewhere else."
