Rubio's Coastal Grill

I've been a long-time fan of Rubio's, but my visit today was disappointing. When I asked the cashier for tomatillo sauce, she didn't seem to know what it was. I typically love their fish tacos on Tuesdays, but today’s serving was smaller than usual, and the taco shells were cold and stale.

Customer service was 4/5, everyone was kind. Reason for the review is their pinto beans, one of my favorite sides but at this location the past few months beans have been watery and have not tasted right. I have been to another location since and thepinto beans else where taste fine. Love my chicken tacos like usual.

There are many choices to choose from. Instead of sticking to the familiar menu, I decided to try something different. I ordered the taquitos, which had a crispy exterior and a moist interior, but unfortunately, they were lacking in flavor. The generous amount of guacamole on top, along with some diced tomatoes, didn't really help to offset the bland taste of the chicken inside the taquitos. I might consider trying a different dish next time I’m in the area.

The customer service received a rating of 4 out of 5; the staff was very friendly. I’d like to focus on the reason for my review, which is the pinto beans. They’re one of my favorite dishes, but I’ve noticed that over the past few months they’ve been watery and lacking in flavor at this restaurant. I recently tried pinto beans at another establishment, and they were much more flavorful. On a positive note, I still love my chicken tacos just as much as I did before.

What a horrible Rubios. Kids in the back blasting music. All 4 of our 5 orders were wrong. We ate at the restaurant and watched every other patron have their oder given to them wrong or wait forever to be served. We asked the cashier where the manager wasand was told the manager left an hour ago. Portions were small and restaurant was filthy like other reviews have stated.People, stop coming here. I was quite disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. My bowl wasn't filled to the brim, and the shrimp were significantly smaller than what I expected. I paid almost as much as I would for a dish at the Cheesecake Factory, yet I received a serving with hardly any food. One of the shrimp was burnt, and there were only five pieces of shrimp that were smaller than a nickel. On top of that, I found just three tiny shreds of lettuce. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with both the portion size and the quality of the food.

This Rubio's restaurant was terrible. There were kids in the back playing loud music. Four out of our five orders were incorrect. While dining in, we noticed that every other customer was also receiving the wrong orders or waiting a long time to be served. When we asked the cashier where the manager was, we were informed that they had left an hour ago. The portions were small and the restaurant was dirty, just as other reviews have mentioned. I advise people to avoid coming here as this establishment does not deserve to be in business. They are tarnishing the reputation of Rubio's.

This is my third time ordering delivery from here in just three months, and I can confidently say that the portions for the burritos have decreased by about 66%. Additionally, my delivery orders consistently arrive missing at least 2-3 side items that I paid for. I understand that costs are rising, but it feels like we're now paying more for significantly less food. No thanks, we'll be heading across the street to Taco Bell instead. EDIT: I ended up ordering from Taco Bell too, and my whole family experienced the same issue with portion sizes. We were unusually hungry after our meal. View menu
