"The Cellar is a hidden gem in Winterset, located just off the square down a few stairs. This small coffee shop offers a variety of coffees, teas, and smoothies, but the real highlight is their breakfast burritos. My personal favorite is the everything burrito with salsa. The lunch sandwiches are also delicious, especially the slightly sweet chicken salad sandwich on a flaky croissant and the Duke with roast beef and creamy pepper jack cheese. Their pressed warm sandwiches are a must-try. And don't forget about the scones - you can't go wrong with any flavor. The staff at The Cellar are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always greeting you with a smile. A visit to Winterset isn't complete without stopping by The Cellar!"

"Got the general chicken and it was really tasty. This is my second time eating here, the last time was a couple of years ago and I remember it being really tasty then too. A friend of mine who lives in Winterset swears by this place and I'm inclined to agree.Like other reviewers have commented chinese restaurants here in Central Iowa, for some reason, always seem to be kind of dingy/gross for their decor and upkeep inside and this place is unfortunately no different.With that being said, the food is definitely worth coming for and the lunch special was a great value I definitely look forward to eating here again."

"We took my mom out for lunch yesterday after visiting the Farmer's Market and taking advantage of a sidewalk sale. I ordered the German burger, which featured lean pork topped with bacon and sauerkraut. It was absolutely fantastic! I also indulged in a blackberry-berry pie that I can't even begin to describe— it was incredibly delicious. My sister and mom chose the ravioli special, which came with a side salad, a breadstick, a drink, and dessert. They received four large, house-made meat and cheese ravioli served with a mushroom and meat sauce. The dessert was a rhubarb and peach bread pudding that simply melted in your mouth. And all of this for just $7.99! The prices are very reasonable. The café has a cozy atmosphere, and the owners and staff make you feel right at home. Don't forget to try the German chocolates they keep in the old vault— there's nothing like it anywhere else. I'm really looking forward to the Apple Dumpling Gang Night, where one of the original actors will be sharing behind-the-scenes stories from the movie, and the meal will feature various dumplings with classic American apple dumplings for dessert. The film nights are also something I look forward to, as the meals are themed around the movie! I definitely want to try the chocolate roasted chicken on Bike Night!"
