"Heard a lot of positive reviews about Saikai, the rumor said this is few top Chinese celebrities' favorite Japanese restaurant in town. However, I have to say it's not worth of my time and money, the sashimi tasting and uni pasta was not what I expected. Especially the uni pasta, there is no flavor and it's like you eating a peanut butter noodle from Chinese restaurant in Chinatown, the fish samples from sashimi was mediocre, although the toro was good. I don't think I would ever come back again."

The restaurant used to be popular, but now is too quite. Some of the popular course is missing and is a little bit pricy View menu

Overall very good experience and food. Make sure to mix up the deep fried dishes with dishes that aren't deep fried, otherwise it can get a little heavy. The shaved ice dessert is fun and unusual.

High price for average good. The eggplant was decent. Our mushrooms and fried chicken. lacked seasoning. Hot pot ingredients were fresh and the fish was cooked well; however, the broth was thin and lacked substance.

This is one of my favorite restaurant in the city! I always love the Oyster Ceviche, Uni Yuba and Truffles Chawanmushi. I normally don't eat eel, but I love their Anago (grilled sea eel) Roll. And we usually compete the yummy meal with Uni Risotto. On top of those, miso black cod and Foie Gras Fried Rice are really good too. View menu

this is a neighborhood find on a street with several options but not a quaint strolling section of the village. Kyoto style... creative. We 've dined several times in two 's fours and 8 's Consistently good. Nice to see Japanese people frequenting. So far it is not jam packed which is good for us and perhaps less so for them.

We dined here this past Sunday and were really underwhelmed with the food. They had ran out of some dishes we wanted to try (clam soup, scallop uni, sake) although dinner service had just started. We ended up ordering a few hand rolls, trout sashimi, egg custard, fried chicken etc. For the price of each dish, I expected to be blown away but i wasn't. Although food tasted fresh, it was really lacking in flavor. Overpriced for a mediocre meal.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
